"Quick service but expensive for what was provided. I had a simple tax return that was submitted late so I knew I'd have to pay penalties and asked for them to be calculated and they ended up not able do that because the interconnected service was not up (the penalty calculation is why I went to a professional service in the first place). Had I been told they couldn't do that I wouldn't have commissioned the work. I ended up with completed tax forms which I mailed in (not to his fault, outside the electronic submission period) but literally could have did what he did for me for free (again, simple tax return, standard deduction) and saved myself a couple hundred dollars. Now I get to wait for the IRS to provide the penalty instead of paying it upfront. This could be the norm but it wasn't a satisfying experience."
