"Absolutely horrible experience with Simplified. Our tax “professional” Ricci could not have been less professional. We were planning to use Simplified for our personal returns and my husband also owns an LLC. We met with Ricci in February and she said she would complete our taxes on March 23. After receiving no updates, I emailed her on April 3 to confirm that she had completed our taxes and asked when we could pick them up. She responded that she had been swamped and would try to complete our taxes soon. On April 10, she emailed me to let me know that she had just looked at our documents and would need to complete our return after tax season. She asked if we wanted her to file an extension for us, and at that point we decided to take our taxes elsewhere. I went into the office today to pick up the documents we had dropped off, and they tried to charge me a consulting fee for Ricci’s work. I would have been fine with this, however, in Ricci’s notes she lied about why we did not file our taxes through Simplified and stated that she completed our returns with the same result that we got….I can’t imagine making up such a blatant lie. It was clearly a reach to make herself look better. The two people I was chatting with at the front desk did not believe the information I was telling them about how Ricci handled our case, which made me lose any ounce of hope I had that this is a reputable company. Please, do yourself a favor, don’t waste your time here."

"We had our taxes done today at Simplified Tax & Accounting Services. It was the Best experience ever! Our tax preparer was Ricci Pickott. Ricci is very friendly, efficient, and just a very pleasant experience to work with her . We were there for one hour and our taxes were completed professionally and efficiently . I would highly recommend Ricci for any future tax needs."

"I had to file for a large estate for my brother and I, which was a slightly more complicated filing, but they dropped the ball majorly for me. I was told the year prior what to expect to owe for the large estate distribution, however, they calculated the federal taxes incorrectly. I had contacted them multiple times before the taxes were due to confirm this amount because I was concerned it was incorrect, but it took 2 months to get an answer from someone. I was then told by a manager that the amount was correct. When I finally got an appointment booked to complete my taxes, they were double what I was expected to owe. Then the fee with them was $700 to file for the estate and $290 for my personal, and I wasn’t told that I would pay separate fee for the estate the year prior. Also, due to the delay in them getting me booked, I have accrued additional fees for a bond with Wayne county because the estate needed to remain open longer than planned to file the estate taxes. This has put an immense amount of stress on me financially, and it feels like something that should have been avoided with tax professionals handling this."
