"I am so grateful I found Boss K9; I have owned a few dogs before I got Basil and those were all normal experiences. I rescued Basil who is a husky/Australian shepherd mix. A few days after getting him I started to notice he was more fearful of loud noises and movements than any other dog I have had. This turned into being fearful of people and other dogs which turned into aggressive behaviors. Nipping and biting family members, growling, lunging and I was unable to take him out into public and no one could visit us. I was truly at my wits end but I didn’t want to give up on Basil; I thought he could do more and thanks to Boss K9 he can. We have been working with Anna, Audrey and Bethany for over a year now and Basil has improved leaps and bounds. His first time he did a 5 week board and train and we just finished another board a train of two weeks for a touch up. Basil still has limitations and there will be things that Basil won’t be able to do but with Boss K9’s help he has many more things he can do now that he couldn’t before. The team at Boss K9 is so committed to helping you and your dog live a fulfilled life together it shows in everything that they do. I recommend Boss K9 to everyone I meet; I have a more extreme case with Basil but they were more than willing to take his case on and now I have an amazing resource to get training for both Basil and myself. "Boss K-9 was amazing with our dog Wiggins. Wiggins is a pandemic dog who had no socialization. We adopted Wiggins and learned he not only was anxious he also exhibited resource guarding. This is when dogs exhibits behaviors like growling, lunging, or biting over food or toys. It was so bad that we were nervous to go near him when he had an object for fear that he would bite us. Sadly, we thought we made a mistake adopting him. After a 4 week board and train class, Wiggins came home as a new confident, attentive and happy dog. He was a completely different dog. We are now comfortable taking him out in public knowing he has the skills to be in control and still enjoy his experience. We recently went to a festival with him, and he was AMAZING. He listened to his commands, was attentive, and did not bark or growl at people or other dogs. He was so good a stranger came over to us and complemented how well behaved he was. Boss K-9 has a deep knowledge of dog behavior, excellent observational skills, and the training chops to quickly accomplish their goals. But what truly sets them apart is their ability to empathize and successfully interact with human clients, as well as their dogs. "I did the 4 week board and train. I was super nervous to be away from my pup Remi for that long and Anna was very patient with me and answered my questions throughout the process. I took her back to board and train for touch up. My pup NEEDS structure and schedule and that’s the most important lesson I learned from them. Remi and I moved back to Texas but the training has stuck with her over a year later. People ask me all the time where I took her because the places they tried didn’t work or training didn’t stick. "We connected with Boss K9 after a challenging experience with another trainer. From our first conversation with Anna, it was clear that Boss K9 care deeply about what they do. Fig (our dog) struggled with severe anxiety and reactivity. He had challenges meeting new people, going to new places, and even going for walks.
