"E ANNA Shelter may take a long time to process any request if it adoption or surrendering a pet ….but they do the best the can. When my husband got diagnosed with cancer and my two sisters my mother and my only child all died within a two month period… Ruth graciously took both my horses….. one nobody even wanted he was a broken down rescue…… anyway She showed up with a trailer…. We loaded both a draft horse and and the deaf and foundered fella up The Shelter really came to my aid in a serious time of need. and Ruth and her staff have been absolutely great! Now mind you that my horses were in great shape just in need of serious human time which I could not provide because of my work hours and my husband needed health insurance for a bone marrow transplant. The shelter may have strict requirements, but if you are surrendering… you should find comfort in knowing that your pets are going to a home that will provide love…., and more. I personally would like to do more because such a huge responsibility was taken off my shoulders when my husband needed me most. I am forever indebted to the Shelter for their kindness. And you too would have a sour taste in your mouth if you worked everyday … day in & day out .. just seeing the abuse and neglect and just hopelessness that these animals have in their eyes when they get to they shelter. If you’re disappointed….. volunteer for a day…. Learn some empathy and show compassion…. They give the ANNA Shelter an educated review. But that is just me!"
