"I am extremely disappointed on how this company is run. I had a stag and drag there on August 12th. The first issue was that they had lost my payment of $1,275. They called me on July 12th to ask about the payment that was made on June 21st and stated that it had been misplaced and it was not in the normal spot where she puts it. That seems like something kind of important to keep better track of or have a better filing system in place. I was able to get in on August 11th to set up with permission from the facility. Upon arrival, the cleaning crew was still there cleaning up from the previous event that ran over and just ended. We were allowed to come in and set up as they finished cleaning, without any walk through between events by the event coordinator. We had our event without any hangups or issues and it was a great success with tons of people present. We followed the directions for cleanup as per the contract and as per Ann Fleer, contact person, from the social hall rental. We had our walk through on August 8th, and were told trash could be left in the “proper receptacles”, with that being inside trash cans as long as it wasn’t food. During this walk-through, Ann had pointed out that there was a beer soaked carpet in the coat room, the floors were very sticky, as well as trash and trash bags outside of the dumpster outside of the building. We were also notified during the walk-through that the exhaust hoods in the kitchen did not work. We still agreed to the rental at full price since it was too late to cancel and find a new location with only 4 days remaining until our gathering with over 950 people responding as interested or coming. When I called to inquire about our deposit back, she had stated there were some damages to the wall including a scuff mark and minor wear and tear that she was not specific about. She said that she had to get an estimate to see what it would cost to have us get a partial refund back of our $600 deposit. On September 2nd I received a letter in the mail with an estimate from Perry highway for repairs. The letter also included pictures. I had requested that the pictures have appropriate timestamps to prove that these minor mishaps had occurred during my event and not at an event prior. I do believe that the accountability would fall on the company themselves to prove that this did happen during my event in order to hold me accountable for that payment. The repair bill is from Awesome Painting and it states that the labor is $320 and the materials were $55 to fix "front hallway below the second window for damages from the renters two deep drywall holes a few deep dents and vertical drywall seam crack after damage". The letter also stated that in “breaking our contract” they were keeping the entire deposit. We are currently waiting on a phone call back from John Spaulding. Who is the president listed for Perry hi-Way hose Company."
"Great friendly people"
"Anne is very helpful, we have our fundraising events here... the facility is always clean everything is gone over with you so you know what to expect and what they expect of you. 5/5 keep up the great work guys!"
"We had a fund raiser here for a friend who had cancer. The kitchen was fabulous, the people who handle the parties were very nice. It's a little pricey, but worth it."
