"So not being from Pittsburgh, this was a real experience… we didn’t know quite what to expect and hopping on board the incline at the bottom and going up at first was a little unnerving! It’s steep and goes up pretty high. But after we realized it’s exceedingly safe, well maintained we did enjoy the trip up and down. The views are absolutely spectacular and you can see three rivers crystal clear and all of the downtown and the stadium. It was a really neat experience and we will definitely do it again. If you’re afraid of heights like I am, it might not seem like your cup of tea but if you can muster through it, it’s an experience like none other. I’m glad I did it."
"This is such a nostalgic and fabulous experience. $2.50 each way and exact change required. The lady at the top was incredibly friendly to this lost Brit who didn't understand the cash thing. She was so helpful and kind. Her kindness speaks volumes for the people of this city. Thank you and hoping to be back soon."
"Great view from top. Reasonable price for ride. Interesting exhibit at top on how incline works plus other historical information. Needs better walk way from parking lot at bottom to station. Not accessible for people who can't walk. Must climb stairs to cross road way after walking up from parking. Parking at bottom costs $8 minimum for 2 hours. 2 hours is enough time to ride and see all the exhibits and view."
"Great old inclined railroad with fantastic views of the city of Pittsburgh! The museum at the top station isn't extensive, but has a lot of cool old newspaper clippings of both incline and local history. The room viewing the internal equipment is very cool, too. If you're riding it just to sight see, budget 30-45 minutes. Tickets are exact change, cash only."
"The family always enjoys a fall trip to the Duquesne Incline. Online it says free parking, to good to be true in Pittsburgh. $5 for two hours was sufficient. Was fairly busy and made the trip up, stayed up top for 30 min and waited to make it back down, with 30 min to spare. Amazing views of point park and the city!"
