"We just finished our second year at Beadling. The first year at Beadling consisted of Covid and the facility keeping our payments which they stated were nonrefundable. This past year, we were not permitted into the facility, therefore we could only gage how the experience was going based on our child's emotions and feedback after practice. Like all families, Beadling came first in our child's life and our family's schedule. Once spring opened up, we were able to determine that our child was separated from his regular team and this weighed on his self-esteem and confidence, which is so important in the game. The coaches provided no guidance to him and the new team they placed him with, and the learning was minimal. The team he was placed on lost consecutively (only winning to children who were two years younger than them). I emailed the coach twice for information that may help my child on the field and it was then they informed me that Beadling is not a good fit. It was shocking to receive information like that given we had put two years in, a lot of money, all our time (for a sport)... to find that reaching out twice was too much for them. I believe Beadling enrolled too many children in one age bracket, which inadvertently caused them to have too many teams (for one birth year) and wanted the team they treated poorly to quit. Very, very disappointing to say the least. And, disheartening for my child's first experience with commitment and love for the team and game. One would think 8 & 9 years olds would be taught at Beadling and taught well, not separated from the team in a cold and emotional way behind closed doors while the parents are not welcomed nor permitted in the building."
"Overall, the "club" as far as coaching goes is great. Management financially on the other hand isn't. I get that an entire season was lost to COVID, but they only refunded 18% of our money back ($300), which we put towards the "new" upcoming season. Then, we moved out of state and found out that the $300 deposit was "non-refundable. So essentially, we paid $1600 for approximately, 12-15 practices and one non-season game. Keep in mind this didn't include the uniform costs as well. In the long run, it would have been cheaper for us to higher a private coach for 1 on 1 training. We have been with a few different clubs now and this one by far was the worst, again, as far as mgmt goes."
