The Independence Township Volunteer Fire Department, located at 116 School Road in Aliquippa, Pennsylvania, is a dedicated and highly skilled team committed to serving the community. Our fire station is equipped with a range of specialized apparatus to handle various emergencies efficiently.

Heat Miser: Our latest addition, “Heat Miser,” is a versatile 2000 Freightliner/E-one rescue engine acquired in 2017 from North Carolina. This robust engine is our go-to vehicle for structure fires, traffic incidents, and much more. It was purchased from a reputable company near Philadelphia, PA, and has since become an indispensable part of our fleet, excelling in diverse emergency scenarios.

Tanker: Our tanker, a Kenworth model built specifically for us in Michigan in 2006, may resemble a milk truck, but it is crucial for our operations. With a capacity of 2,160 gallons of water, this tanker is essential in our community, which lacks hydrants.

Squad 805: One of our two squads, Squad 805, is a 2010 Ford built in Georgia. Although it is primarily used for brush fires, it is also equipped with medical equipment and other vital tools, making it a versatile component of our emergency response team.

ATV: Our 6x6 Polaris UTV is designed for reaching hard-to-access areas, especially in wooded or off-road environments. This ATV is invaluable for wildland fire operations and search details, ensuring we can respond effectively no matter the terrain.
