"Great dorm, wonderful community. Stupid fire alarms."

"The staff were amazing but the building sucked. Hard to know where to start, but let's start with the cleanliness. This is by no means the fault of the staff but the floor is made of dust. The fans of my computer has a layer of thick dust every two weeks. The bathrooms mostly clean because the staff there work really hard so props there. The bathrooms themselves were small and pretty 'wet' all the time. Not to mention our entire dorm flooded and all the students has to be displaced till there could fix it. There was construction during the school year coming into finals weeks so it was impossible to study in your room. The dorm seems nice and would have been 15 years ago but now, it is held together at the seams. For 20 grand+ a year, you would figure there would be renovations. Oh wait, they gave Sunderland new elevators instead of fixing our roof. I mean, this rating would have been a 1 if it weren't for the wonderful and delightful staff there. UPitt, pick up the slack."

"The building facilitates a strong community. A lounge and two kitchenettes on every floor. Rooms are spacious. Jack and Jill style powder rooms (a bathroom with a toilet and sink connects to two rooms, so shared between 4 people). Housekeeping is nice. Second floor has large gathering area and a rec room (it's a few treadmills/stationary bikes and some kettle-bells with a ping pong table). Also a nice grassy outdoor patio on the second floor. The building houses the engineering LLC which is great for any engineer as you would be with people taking similar class to you. Problems: The ceiling leaks. I'd be willing to bet they'll replace it for fall of 2019, but this year the entire 6th floor was leaking, lots of belongings damaged. The elevators suck and hopefully they're replace them too. Don't let that stop you from choosing forbes though, its positives outweighs those cons."

"Freshman dorm for Pitt students. Normally for engineering students. The building is old but has some nice amenities like a rec room, lounges and patio."

"PRIME dorm would recommend. Balconies in easy throwing distance from the main thoroughfare of Forbes Ave. An easy windy snowy walking distance from most classrooms. A corner of it will probably always smell like pot. All of the male RAs here had the same first name too which I doubt is a policy, but if it is don't be surprised."
