"Haven't even used the service, just called to ask for information and the lady was rude as hell. I was just looking for information about the place ."
"This place is really bad, people blocking the front entrance, drug use outside and just plain filthy. Dropped off some donations but never again. The front desk is run by a girl and guy that are either ghetto homeless or former homeless and very rude. The staff guy started screaming at me because I forgot to sign in at the desk. Tried to explain that I was there to drop off clothing. He insisted that I sign in anyway. Definitely a one star, better to donate someplace else. This place needs to be shut down too."
"The upper room is a little different than any place you have ever been! There's thing's that go on there that you would not believe? You'd have to see for yourself! But all in all it's a great place if you need to get help with some things in your life or if your tired and need to rest or get a bit to eat! The staff is very helpful and the management is very helpful all so! So when you come there come by an check the place out? All are welcome ask for Donald he'll be happy to assist you! THANK YOU!!!"
"It's very hard to get up those stairs if your handicapped. The people there are mostly pleasant, but a few ruin it for others. They lock the bathroom at times due to the toilet getting plugged. But there are donations and food on a daily basis. So clothing and food get handed out regularly which can be really helpful at times. The building I am sure is protected by a grandfather clause. There's nothing that can be done to make that climb easier for handicapped persons. Dealing with it"
"Some staff are friendly, some staff are not. The food is always delicious though! I’ve always felt safe at the Upper Room even though there are people who occasionally act out. The people there are pretty good at deescalating the situation and removing people if needed. Lines are long but they do go by pretty fast."
