"Rooms are good. You literally stay at this hotel bc you what to do the Splash Lagoon Package. The Location and ability to take 10 steps and be back at your room from the water park is awesome ! Would stay again - definitely not a weekend."
"We went to Splash Lagoon and decided to stay at Hawthorne Suites. The King suite with pull out bed was great! Very roomy, looked recently remodeled...even had a nice fireplace. Everything was clean and the hotel had a nice breakfast as well. Room was ready well before official check-in time. Overall, would highly recommend and we will certainly be back."
"So first off, the only way this place is in business is because of splash lagoon. (Not knocking it- just a fact)It's connected so it's very easy to walk into splash lagoon its all indoor walking. If I don't mention something, it was satisfactory, I'll only mention the negatives. About the hotel- Almost everywhere you look, it's either looking old or something is broken. Front door looked like it hadn't been cleaned in a while. Getting to the room there is one elevator and the inside had torn advertisement on the door, it was like a big sticker on the inside. I dont think it has been cleand in a while either. Room- The fireplace did not work. Crumbs on the desk chair. Don't think it was vacuumed because there was a peanut or nut of some sort right by the bed. The thermostat seemed like it only worked when we were there, so even though we set it to 73 while we were gone expecting to be nice and warm when we get back, it was not the case. The TV was the most complicated and archaic system I've ever come across in a hotel. You had no idea what channel was what and even if you know the number to punch in, it would never go to it, you had to scroll through the entire lineup which was painfully slow. Bathroom- Lock was broken on the door. Towel hangars were loose on the wall. The light switch was upside down. There was a heat lamp in the ceiling? .Toilet was very shallow at the front of the bowl. The tub was huge because it was a hot tub/ jacuzzi but the inside had cracks and a large piece missing off the inside. I did not use or try the jacuzzi function. Overall, I'm not really sure how this is a 3 star hotel. Is it terrible, no. Is it the best, no. Was it worth it? Well I guess so because of it being connected to the water park. It could be so much better. What you need is someone to come in and show you what they see wrong in each room. It doesn't have to be a palace, just clean and everything intact. I know you guys are probably constantly busy because of the park, but you gotta keep up on stuff. Look at each and every room at least once a month."
"i had to check my bill several times. I couldn't believe the size of our room vs the what we paid. The room was HUGE! full kitchen. fireplace. gigantic living room. My bill was barely over $100 per night. The breakfast was great. Butter was not frozen so solid that it couldn't be spread. Pool was wonderful. 89°. Most hotels with pools can't be bothered with keeping them warm enough to swim.... as though because of liability they don't actually want people to swim. Jacuzzi equally nice and overall swim area elevated to more than a cement hole or an after thought as per most hotel. In addition connected to an entire indoor waterpark! Also connected to Quaker Steak Restaurant. Staff was super helpful. Checked in late, needed to get food and they agreed to leave the pool open a little bit later so I could get in a quick soak before bed. That extra little bit is meaningful and super appreciated. the negatives? as i see it. room was clean, as was pool and dining area. Other public areas like hallways could have used a vacuum and clean up. No big deal. For the price I paid, i'd be happy to vacuum myself. If I ever pass through this area again, i know here I'm staying."
"We had a wonderful stay here! The two bedroom suite was an unexpectedly great deal...it had two bedrooms with three double beds, two bathrooms (one with a two person soaking tub), living room with gas fireplace, and a well-stocked kitchen with appliances. I couldn't get the jacuzzi to work, but that's ok because I didn't expect it anyway. The breakfast and pool area were also very nice. We'll be back!"
