Family House

"If I could give this dump a Zero, I would. I can pay for one of their rooms, but was not allowed to use their parking because my Toyota suv was on the No Parking List. They give you a ticket to park down the road in a parking garage for a fee. I have neuropathy in my legs, feet and have extreme pain walking any distance. That didn't matter at all. Please pay the extra cash and go somewhere else. I thought they were to slightly ease the pain for families. This place made my situation worse. DO NOT GO HERE!!"

"I absolutely recommend this place if your ever in the situation that my family was in cancer and death is never easy. I have extremely bad anxiety when it comes to stays in unfamiliar places due to bed bugs but the family house in Pittsburgh I never had to worry for that I can't THANK THEM ENOUGH, beautiful people,beautiful place. I enjoyed my stay both times I had to stay here. The family house is very clean, well kept and has everything close by."

"Unfortunately there becomes a time in our lives where we have a loved one with a serious condition, and we must travel to take them to some of the best hospitals. While they are getting the best medical treatment, what is the family do, where do they stay? The family house in Pittsburgh is where you go. The staff is so friendly and compassionate. Every morning they have breakfast from 6:30 to 8:30. Parking is limited. They do not allow any pickup trucks in their parking lot. However if you have an SUV or a car if there are spots available you can park there for $10 a night otherwise they will give you a discount voucher to go park in the Shadyside parking garage for $5 a night. The rooms aren't fancy, but they are clean and it's a place you can go and rest and relax and clear your head and focus on helping your loved one heal. Each floor has a common area where you can go and read and puzzles and the second floor has a small workout area with a few pieces of equipment the sixth floor has a meditation room possibly could be considered a chapel where you can go and pray meditate or contemplate. Each other has laundry available the machines are $1.50 each and they do a very good job."
