"Over the course of the last few years I have seen a few different hair stylists. Although I would consider myself extremely picky with the way I like my hair colored / styled, I was ultimately searching for a stylist who really listened to what I wanted as well as what I didn’t want. I was referred to Beth by a good friend and needless to say she met all of my expectations and even surpassed them. January 2023 was my first visit to Salon La Mae and not only Beth but all of the other stylists made me feel at home and treated me as if i’ve been going there for years. For the first 15 minutes of my appointment, Beth really listened to exactly what I wanted and made sure there was no confusion / miscommunication before even starting my hair. As someone who gets really anxious about change, this made me feel really comfortable. Beth made sure I knew exactly what she was doing to my hair at all times and even reassured me that if there was something I didn’t like, she could fix it without a problem. I have been getting my hair done since middle school, and I can honestly say I have never been this happy with the outcome of my hair! Beth demonstrated patience and kindness while my time at Salon La Mae and I will definitely be going back next time! From an extremely picky client, I would 10/10 recommend Beth to anyone! "The first time I went to Salon La Mae, I spent 3.5 hours in there for a root touch up with Beth. My color wasn’t perfect but I thought she could perfect it by the next time I went in there. The second time i went in, i had a root touch up and a cut. Y’all…I literally have no words for the hack job she did to my hair. The first photo is what my hair looked like when I left the first time (no cut). The second and third photos are what I left with the second time. My engagement photos have been cancelled because my hair looks so bad. The color is still not correct. My roots are a completely different color than the rest of my hair. And the cut speaks for itself. Several people asked if my 2 year old niece got ahold of scissors. I am mortified. I spent 4 hours at the salon this day. I told her just to do an even cut with some texture. She told me she wanted to cut it into my face. She’s a professional and i trusted her. BIG MISTAKE. In 29 years I have NEVER had a haircut like this. It’s always so easy to do my hair because it’s long, one length, no big deal. I had no idea someone could do this kind of damage. And this was the result after she “fixed” what she did originally. The response? “We’ll learn and figure it out.” I paid $145 plus tip for THIS. If you don’t want to be an experiment, go somewhere else."

"I was desperate to get color fixed that was not done well elsewhere. Parts of my roots were actually purple looking. The team didn’t know me but they fit me in on a Saturday and wanted to help. Beth did a great job explaining to me what we could do and after she worked for two hours in sections of hair I got my summer blonde hair back! This salon is full of talented customer oriented professionals!"
