She is also great at helping me choose products that work for my specific type of hair. "I’ve been coming to Michael’s Hair Loft for over 2 years. The service has always been 10/10. Lizzy has an amazing eye for blending highlights and lowlights and making the colors compliment each other. I’ve never been to any hairstylist who has nailed the color every single time the way that she has. Her consistency in making the colors look 100% natural is quite impressive. Lizzy is quick to listen to the customer and makes sure that the hairstyle she does matches the request. One thing I appreciate about her is her honesty. She knows the limits to every hairstyle but is good about coming up with similar suggestions that will actually compliment the customer. She is very personable and one time even went and picked up my Starbucks order for me while my color was setting. I could not recommend her more highly. If you’re looking for a dependable hairstylist, Lizzy is your girl."

"This review is NOT a reflection on Michael’s Hair salon as a whole, and only for one specific stylist. I will make a long story short. I have never had my hair professionally done before so I was super excited for my first appointment with Lizzy. I wanted my hair dyed black with a bit of a blue, a V-cut hair style (which I’ve have my whole life), and to keep it long. Upon arrival, Lizzy did not like the idea of dying my hair black. She picked out a brown for me, however I stood my ground and kept it black. Next, she really did not like the V-cut hair style and told me that it was “unprofessional, “not classy,” and “only strippers have that hair style.” So she talked me into a different cut. Lastly, she admitted to not liking long hair, so she tried to persuade me into cutting off a lot. By the end of my visit, I felt very bullied and judged by Lizzy. I am not one to take offense to many things, however, she tore my entire look apart and disagreed with everything to do with my hair. My excitement turned to pure disappointment and regret. When I walked into that salon that day I did not expect to leave feeling horrible about myself and hating my hair that I just paid a TON of money for. If you visit Michael’s, book with anyone but Lizzy."
