"I love home depot but right now Lowes is winning in my book. A good suggestion.. take the good quality online items, that are way better deals than your pricey in store options and put them in the store. Example: I found a push mower online at a great price and it's like your top seller... why not put the hottest mower you have in store ?? Because it's like $75 cheaper than the same model Murray ?? Just a thought."
"Tried to drop by and pick up 100 of the 6 foot dog ear fence boards and asked for some assistance in getting them pulled at the pro desk and was informed for the first time that I would have to make such a request with a minimum two hour advance notice. Not that they didn’t have available employees, just that it’s their policy now. I’ve bought trailers full of lumber from Home Depot regularly for both fence/decking projects and have never had an issue with getting a forklift driver to bring the materials out so that I can load them onto my trailer. Drove less than half a mile down the road to Lowe’s and not only did I not need to give them advance notice, they loaded the materials onto my truck for me within 20 minutes of me passing at the register. I hope, for Home Depot’s sake, that it was just the employee showing up to work without the will to actually work and not an embarrassing new policy in place to make matters difficult for customers."
"This is for the Greensboro location. Parking is ample but gets filled up quickly. The layout is easy to figure out, and the signs easily direct you to products by category. But if you are looking for specific, you can actually ask someone, and the chances are they will know where it is. Their selection of plants are definitely worth a look. They are healthy, and prices sit at a grood value. The staff here were engaging and helpful. This brick and mortar was the only home improvement business that actually greeted me and asked if I needed anything. When I asked, Carolina knew exactly which row and bin where my tool was located. I was so impressed I did some more shopping to pick up some cleaning supplies. She even followed up after I got to the check-out to see if I found what I was looking for. Update, Carolina didn't remember me, but I remembered her. She asked if I needed anything and greeted me as we checked-out as she did previously. On another trip, we interacted with other fellow employee here at this store, and they were equally helpful and professional. They knew where everything was and saved me a bunch of time looking around for items. I appreciated the experience so much that I've come back to this location 4-times in one week while staying here in High Point, NC. Midas 5-stars for the helpful staff and quality customer service."
"I hate to say bad things about this place as i am a local/ loyal customer but enough is enough! Were do i start, parking is just horrible even after paved and rearranged. They made the mistake of putting signs in the middle of the parking spots which make it hard to park and maneuver. Second the arrangement of the rental department which takes up vital parking for contractors to park and pick up items. Third they place all carts in the middle of the road once again a hazard for everyone. Instead of having them inside so that customers can easily get to them and avoid third degree burns from seating in the sun all day or having to use them all wet when it rains or just plain out getting stuck to them in the winter!!!! Last but no least the unwilling and rude helper/loaders hired to help us. Either they run or make excuses not to do their only job Assisting customers as myself. One last thing I believe employees should park in the back or in a section just for them so that they dont take up useful parking spots for customers."
