"This has been the WORST experience ever with a contractor. My kitchen was to be completed in 6 months. It took 12 months and completed just 2 days before Christmas. Total disregard for the inconvenience of not having a kitchen or the added expense of dining out for a solid year. THE FINISH IS COMING OFF ON ONE OF MY CABINETS....AND THIS CONTRACTOR REFUSES TO FIX OR REFER ME TO SOMEONE WHO CAN. HE DID REPAINT THIS ONE PANEL BUT IT IS STILL NOT HOLDING PAINT- CONSIDERING THE OTHER PANELS ARE FINE THERE IS SOMETHING OBVIOUSLY FAULTY WITH THIS PARTICULAR WOOD PANEL OR THE PROCESS IN WHICH IT WAS COMPLETED. I paid this contractor in full in excess of 60K. He made and installed a stainless steel hood. I chose this material so it would be easily cleaned. When cleaning the hood- I get a black film everywhere which then smears onto the wall paint. Jim Trenga (the owner) decided to put a to clear coat on 2 of the 5 hood panels so I could clean them easier. He was to send his crew to my home to complete the other 3 panels. I now have a custom hood that doesn't match, because he has refused to complete the job. After attempting to contact Trenga Woodworking for the last 3 months to resolve these issues amicably, he and his staff have refused to respond to my calls, texts, and emails and most recently hung up on me. I am filing in small claims court for damages. DO NOT USE THIS CONTRACTOR. Trenga may smooth talk you to get a deposit, but will make your life miserable through out the project and will not service your cabinets if you have any future problems. LIES AND DECEIPT."
