"They genuinely do not care about the health of their students, but would rather offer a temporary remedy but prescribing you over-the-counter medicine so you keep coming back and spend money for the reoccurring issue. If I chose to not follow my instincts, I would’ve ended up getting pneumonia after being told by a doctor at student health that I don’t have anything, my symptoms is just a result of something I previously had and that it’s too late to test me for anything and just dismissed my feelings I went to Physicians East urgent care and was diagnosed with the bacterial bronchitis so save your time and your money and go to Physicians East urgent care if you need to be seen by a doctor… I have given student health countless chances, but they have never failed to disappoint me not once have they tried to actually help me, nor do they care about actually diagnosing you they’ll just give you medicine to lessen the symptoms but that’s it."
"Absolutely horrendous. Why can't a parent make appointment for student who is in class at 8am? Why isn't anyone answering phone in a timely manner. 30 minutes on hold, than get hung up on only to be told I can't make appointment. Daughter was injured during class and yall turned her away yesterday at 4:55 because yall wanted to go home at 5. Yall took an oath to treat people yet dont."
"My daughter was seen there this afternoon for wrist pain that she had been having for a few days. She explained to the Dr what was going on. All the Dr said was for her to take some Motrin. My daughter informed her that she had already been taking Motrin for the pain. The Dr had the nerve to tell her to take more, come back in a week if it doesn’t get any better and sent her on her way. She did not do an X-ray, offer her a wrist brace or any stronger anti-inflammatory meds. My daughter feels like she as rushed in and rushed out today and will probably won’t go back like the Dr suggested. There is a lack of care and compassion there. These students who are on their own, away from their families don’t deserve to treated like that from people that’s suppose to care for them."
"About a month and half ago, I was have bad case of sore throat, I took some over the counter meds but didn't helped but only reduced some. Then because of advice of a medical student friend I went to student health center thinking I might have strep. The entry procedure, check in and several levels of check up from initial nurses to provider, everyone was just so friendly and reassuring. I forgot the providers name but she was I think late twenties light skinned lady (I'm describing her this way because she deserves praise and I don't know the name). She talked and erased me into conversation and while doing testing we were talking about major and research which really relaxed me. We did the strep test and it came back negative so she said whatever I'm taking was fine and I'll get better in 3 days (which I did). I couldn't find my keys so she also tried to help me there. I don't know how is everyone's review or experience is, I'll take help if these people again when needed (I probably need it soon as I again have sore throat, haha)."
