"Awesome place for donate. Staff very friendly. Mr Kevin very nice person & legend APEKSHA PATEL very nice girl explains me very smoothly & took care of. GOD BLESS EVERYONE"
"I've been going here for years, but after today, I'll find a different location. When the needle was put into my arm it felt a little weird, but I didn't think much of it. A few minutes later, the machine just stopped pumping, and the needle had to be adjusted 2 times in order to keep blood flowing. I suspect that the needle was inserted too deep into my arm, which resulted in significant discomfort and a large lump in my arm which was discovered when i got home from my donation, below where the needle was inserted. I've dealt with bruising in the past, but this is beyond excessive."
"I donate whenever I can. I feel that it’s for a good cause. However this place (people) are inadequate at their job. June of this year, as I’m hooked to machine , 2 mins later alarm goes off. Someone comes over and starts moving needle in different directions. Other people came over and kept trying. Finally I said take it out. Arm hurt and was bruised for days. I gave them another try this Xmas eve. Again 2 mins in somehow this young lady manages to accidentally yank needle out of arm. Blood was everywhere, floor , me … They asked if they could try again on the other arm. Heck NO. I’m done with this place"
"I like being a Good Samaritan but I always feel duped leaving this place. Multiple emails and notifications telling me “Sharing your platelets between December 1 and December 3 will get you an additional *25 Donor Advantage points” and I did the math. It’s like the equivalent of giving you an extra $1 for going. We know you cash out big. Why does Hillyer need to make almost $2million a year off a nonprofit company with a product that is donated. Tired of late stage capitalism games."
"This is my go-to blood donation center after three donations at this location, and having not the best experiences at other spots. They go pretty quickly and I've never waited too long, even if there are a bunch of folks there. The techs are always nice and in good spirits. They will make some solid conversation to keep you engaged and distracted. They're attentive, know what they're doing, and make things nice and painless. They're generous with the snacks too, and will load you up and tell you to take as much as you want. If you're new to donating or are a veteran, check out this donation center."
