"Had an appointment to get my moles checked with Deirdre Gardner and had her check a few issues I was having with my fingernails. She was in the room with me for less than 10 minutes, decided I needed prescriptions for acne (not what my appointment was for), listed off 4 or 5 different options and asked ME what I wanted, didn't explain what any of the options were, couldn't do basic math to ensure my correct dosage and told the girl submitting the script "I don't know. Whatever you think is right" I felt like she didn't have time to listen to anything I said or even explain why she prescribed what she did, how my current Skincare routine would or wouldn't need to be adjusted. She ignored questions I asked and I couldnt get a word in to ask about what just happened before Deirdre was out the door and my appointment was over. I waited over 2 months for this appointment and felt like they wouldn't even give me the time of day to explain scripts that I wasn't asking for. I left feeling really annoyed and disregarded and almost like the Deirdre was talking down to me. Feels like they just jumped at the opportunity to push an expensive script on me that again, I wasnt there asking for. I was only there to get my moles and fingernails checked. As she was walking out of the room she said over her shoulder "oh, by the way, your skin looks fine" I guess in regards to my moles? Felt like the mole check was the last thing on her mind and she just wanted to push prescriptions on me that she couldn't even take the time to talk me through... Terrible experience."
"I’ve been going here for a few years now and I love it. Dr. Little is so kind and professional. Every staff member I’ve met so far has been nothing but nice and great at their job. Highly recommend!"
"I have been a patient for a few years and have always found them pleasant and professional at the same time. I have had a couple of procedures performed at this and their other clinic and they have all gone smoothly."
"Not really sure why this place went downhill. I’ve been going to this practice for about three years, and I’ve had multiple concerns addressed, as well as multiple outpatient procedures. I have a prominent history of melanoma in my family, and have gotten yearly skin checks at the same time as my acne med check appointment. Probably about five minutes is dedicated to checking my face regarding the acne, and roughly 10 minutes is dedicated to doing a body skin check. When I attended my check up today I knew that I was due for a face check and a skin check. When I asked the nurse about this, I was told that they would only do my skin check today “if they had time”. I asked the nurse when I was due for my skin check just to make sure I had the timing correct, and she confirmed it was time. I asked why today’s appointment was so rushed and was told I needed to come back for the body skin check. For three years now both my acne check and skin check had been done at the same appointment. I have a disabled husband and special needs child, so its very challenging for me to schedule appointments. The doctor agreed to do the skin check, and a suspicious lesion was found that required biopsy. Had they not done the check today, I would have been walking around with this lesion on my body for a longer period of time. Staff were aware of my family melanoma history. I left the appointment feeling concerned, so I called the office manager to talk about it. I explained what had happened, and I was told I needed to schedule appointments for each concern that I had (despite the fact that it was never this way in the past). I’m not sure if this practice has an issue with time management or sticking to their own policies, but in the event you need a serious issue monitored, look elsewhere for care."
"I emailed the office about a few dermatology concerns that I neglected to bring up at my appointment. I was pleasantly surprised that I received a call back from Dr. Little. In other medical practices, It's usually the nurse that returns calls. Although it's good to speak with a medical professional, speaking directly to the attending doctor is even better because he or she is the person directly responsible for your care. Dr. Little was nice enough to answer all my questions and reassure me. I felt immensely better after speaking with him."
