"This is a very shady and incompetent clinic. The initial phone call to schedule an appointment was with what sounded like a young kid who mumbles like he's on drugs and asks a lot of endless bizarre questions about your personal life and asks why you would like to make a neurology appointment. Right after scheduling an appointment a girl calls leaves a message saying, she is from Neurological Medicine P.A., and it's urgent to call her back immediately. Mind you she doesn't give her name, what department she's from, or number to call her back on. I did call the clinic back and ironically got the same girl because I knew by her voice from the voicemail and tone she recorded on my cell phone. Her first question to me was are you in pain, and I said yes. She put me on hold for 30 minutes right after that. When she comes back on, she says we cannot see you if you are in pain, it would be a legal liability to the clinic. I honestly didn't know how to react to that and just hung up. Days later the same girl calls me and tell me I missed my appointment and that I owe the clinic $380.20 and that I need to pay immediately. I call back and ask why I owe money when she told me that I can't be seen. She then tells me it's company policy to charge patients that don't show up for appointments and that they notified my insurance to bill me, and if I don't pay, they are hiring a collection agency to come after me for the payment. Again, instead of arguing and wasting my time I hung up. I was in complete distress from what Neurological Medicine P.A. is trying to do to me. This sounds like a very incompetent clinic and would steer anyone away from this clinic."
"Called to make an appointment I was shocked to find out they had appointments for new patient within a a few days. Now I know why, the lady Brenda who verifies insurance was provided with wrong information and instead of calling the correct number on the back of my card they wanted me to pay $132. Nonsense!! I tried speaking to the manager and she called with already “I know what you’re gonna say and I don’t care” attitude. So now I have to look for another place because people don’t know how to verify insurance. I’ve had my insurance for 16years I know how it works. So I know they are wrong but they are not willing to correct the situation . Don’t waste your time with this place. PLUS their system to contact someone is HORRIBLE, you can never get thru to someone you always end up leave voicemails! Worst place I’ve ever had to deal with."
"Came here to get fitted for a home EEG. MariLou set me up and made it a very comfortable, relaxing experience. Unfortunately, after about 36 hours I found the EEG extremely uncomfortable and I just needed it to get taken off. They were able to fit me in very quickly to have it removed and MariLou was extremely supportive and kind during the experience. If I ever have to wear/do another EEG, I want MariLou to do it!!"
"The office manager, Amy,calls and cancels appointments, regardless of medical direness, because she does not know how to properly do billing. The doctor's are probably believing her because they are unfamiliar with billing but Amy likes is playing gatekeeper with people's health. When asked to speak to someone over her, the other staff seemed scared and Amy got on the phone to yell at me. They will be hearing from my lawyer. I have all her emails and recordings."
"Dr. Whicker was professional & thorough. The staff who did my tests were very kind and made me feel comfortable. I was pretty anxious. Overall I had a good experience and was impressed with the doctor and his staff."
