"I was really disappointed with my experience here. I first came in at 9:56 AM on a Saturday morning so (understandably so), the place was packed and there was no where to sit. As a result, I went to sit in my car to wait to be called as I was number 11 on the list and they were at number 1. I returned approximately 30 minutes later to see how the list was going, and they were on number 4. This meant the list was moving very slowly despite being very busy. Nonetheless, I told myself I’ve already waited this long, I should just wait until it’s my turn. So I did. Also, during this time that I returned to check the list, I told front desk staff that I will be waiting right in front inside of my car. They said “okay no problem” with a smile and everything was fine. I go back in another 30 minutes later and they’re now number 6. At this point it’s been a 60 minute wait. I tell myself the list is going slowly, it’ll probably be okay if I get some food at the Chipotle on the corner of the same plaza as I have not eaten and was feeling well. So I did. I come back say 20 minutes later and they’re at number 16, which means they passed my name on the list. I let the front desk know that my name was called but I was there waiting in my car as I had told her earlier. The response to this was “if you weren’t here when called you have to sign in again and wait” AFTER I had already been waiting for 80-90 minutes to get my blood drawn. At this point I get upset, because that was the exact reason I communicated that I was waiting in my car in the first place. I make this known that I don’t understand why if I’ve been here the whole time and I have been repeatedly walking in to check the list status and it was moving very slowly at first. There wasn’t anywhere on the form to put your phone number down, so honestly I didn’t think to do so which I can take accountability for. It becomes a matter of there’s nothing we can do and you have to sign in again. Even while being upset about this, I explain that that’s okay and I understand that. My only grieve and biggest frustration was if that is the procedure here, that should have been communicated to me the moment I said I will be waiting in my car. “Hey no problem if you’re going to wait in your car, but if we call your name and you’re not here, you’ll have to sign in again. Do you want to leave your phone number so we can call you when it’s your turn?” None of this was said nor was the option presented. I’m a big believer in communication being key, so I explained that maybe that should have been communicated so that I would have had the chance to make a different decision had I known that information. Maybe I would have gone to a different lab instead, you know? I didn’t even necessarily want any action to be taken on their end, as I knew I wasn’t going to sign in and have my blood drawn there after the debacle. However, I did let them know how it made me feel as someone who was patiently waiting never complained or gave them an issue at all, in order to encourage them to do things differently in case it happens again in the future and hopefully prevent the same situation where they have their time wasted as well. They got very defensive and didn’t let me even explain myself properly saying that it was “common sense” which I found rude as I was trying to be respectful about it and express how it made me feel as a patient. The moral of the story here is that 1. communication is key and 2. as front desk and customer service workers, we don’t know what people have sacrificed in order to show up to our building on that day. People have busy lives and their time should be respected as well. I’m really disappointed with the lack of empathy and the sarcasm that was displayed. At the end of the day we are all human and should seek to understand others. Please do better."
"I usually go here for my annual blood work every year but this year when I went, my blood was not even drawn from the inner part of my elbow. It was taken 2 inches down from there. It did not hurt that much in the moment but right when I left it hurt so bad. It ended up turning into a huge bruise. I went on Saturday June 8th and it’s it Monday June 17th and I still have a gross yellow bruise on my inner forearm. I would also like to add, I do not bruise easily. The picture does not even do a justice to how bad it looked. The lady was very nice though."
"I normally have problems with bloodwork, but this was the most effortless and pain free experience I’ve ever had. The ladies at the front were very kind and made the experience as smooth as possible. I Highly recommend."
"I arrived at 11:54 and Sandra allowed me to sign in though their lunch was to start at 12. My blood work was more extensive than I realized so she had much to do before she could draw the blood. But she did everything that needed to be done and was very professional and kind. She is also very good - hardly a pinch. There was never any irritation shown or rushing - totally patient and professional as I stated before. An absolute pleasure and will come here again if need lab work."
"I went in at 2:20 and the two ladies at the front desk looked at the clock and mumbled something about leaving on time (They close at 2:30). I understand what it’s like to have customers walk in right before closing so I would’ve left if there were already people waiting, but it was empty inside. I’ve been to other sunrise locations where I was in and out in 10 min so I didn’t think it would be a problem. I still had to wait over 10 min before they called me. Doesn’t matter to me, I wasn’t the one in a rush. When the tech drew my blood, she was clearly rushing and had an attitude. Didn’t even check for a vein, just stuck the needle in. Felt reckless/unsafe and ended up being the most I’ve ever bled after a blood draw."
