"Had no idea about the history of Circuses wintering in Peru. Outstanding collection of memorabilia and artifacts. It's great that some of the original buildings have survived. As a volunteer at a Museum where restoration is constantly occurring, I appreciate the work that these volunteers are doing. Of course there are pieces that are not yet restored, but they are always working on them and most importantly, they are saved. Doesn't matter if they get restored in 5 or 10 or 50 years. If it wasn't for the effort of the volunteers, these pieces would be lost to history forever. THANK YOU for that!!! For our visit, the regular tour guide was away, so we had her husband take us on the tour. He had mobility issues, but soldiered through to give us the full experience. We greatly appreciate your dedication to your visitors!! HINT: The office in front is not where you check in. Drive or walk down the gravel road just before the office - that's where the Gift Shop/Entrance is."
"Drove through Peru on our way back home and glad we stopped by the Circus Hall of Fame. I can only imagine how this place looked a hundred years ago, with all the sights & sounds, the hustle & hard work that countless workers put in, and how busy things were during the winters! While it has much less energy now than it did then, there is so much history on the grounds to see and hear about... definitely worth a visit! While the traditional circus has been lost to modern forms of entertainment over the last several decades and shows are being retired often... the magic of what the curcus once was is very evident here. Places like these tell so many stories of a by-gone Era. To the people who work hard to keep this place going and not let the stories go unspoken, a sincere thank you!"
"It was a very educational visit. Prices were exceptionally cheap, as was the gift shop. Worth the drive everyone was knowledgeable & willing to share."
"Very interesting place! The family loved it and we look forward to going back."
"Wow! What an amazing place this is! If you are into the circus, you MUST come here! The tour guides and owners know the stories behind all of the 'artifacts' there; some 'artifacts' include original buildings, animal cages, and other historical outfits and small items. The tour guides will tell you everything you need to know about each person in the Hall of Fame and what they did and the significance they have. The owners and all the employees have also done an amazing job at restoring what buildings are left, whilst keeping the history behind them alive! Oh! And make sure to ask about Charlie.. and the real story! :) I rate this place a MUST visit!"
