"Courtney the hemodialysis technician is the least professional person I have encountered in healthcare. Management (Angie) is weak and out of touch with the copious amounts of drama filling the dialysis tech's lives. You will hear about so and so's baby daddy/ex-wife problems on an endless loop while obtaining care at this location. Patient complaints are not taken seriously and patients are openly ridiculed by dialysis techs at the nurses' station. Eye-rolling, huffing, and stomping around seems to be the norm. And do not expect the masks they wear to mask the odor of their rancid stale cigarette-breath. Haven't most institutions stopped hiring smokers? ESRD causes enough nausea already... I mean, if you have to be stuck getting treatments for the rest of your life, Fresenius is an OK company to go to, but you have to REALLY shop around for a location with higher standards than the HD Clinic located at 99 Perkins St, Akron, OH. The nurses at this location are great, but no one can control the techs, who constantly disrespect, judge, and gossip about patients and nurses behind their backs (in an OPEN floor plan room). Either the techs don't care, or they think the patients are stupid. We can hear you. Eyes may be closed while we tolerate the denigration, but we hear it all. And not every one is defeated enough to roll over and take it day after day, week after week while techs pretend to "know" us or put up a performance of actually caring. There are a few girls at this location who do this job because fast food joints don't offer living wages."
