"Dr. John Powers and the entire staff (at all of the locations that I was seen at) are a group of wonderful people. My experience as a patient has been such a positive one. They are so personable, thorough, professional and efficient. I initially visited Dr. Powers for ingrown toenails but feel like it was a fortuitous meeting. Through speaking with him about excruciating pain that I would sometimes get in my feet and had been suffering for years from, he suggested that it sounded like neuropathy and he could fix it with surgery. Further testing would be necessary to rule out nerve damage or pinched nerves in my spine. I told him I was already scheduled for a consultation with a neurologist for suspected neuropathy but that appointment was at least three months away. He said he could get me in with a different neurologist for the nerve conduction tests much sooner than that. True to his word, within just a couple of weeks, the testing was done and I was able to discuss treatment options with Dr. Powers. I shared with him my aversion to taking medication for pain, which he respected and never once pushed on me. I opted for the nerve decompression surgery, which was scheduled for my left lower extremity. I felt so pleased with the outcome that I asked for the same procedure on my right leg and foot. If at all possible, before my medical insurance’s yearly deductible renewal went into effect. Dr. Powers was more than willing to work with me on the time constraints. He and his staff made me feel at ease throughout the entire process and showed they truly care about their patients. 2 surgeries within approximately two months- and all of it before I would have even been evaluated by the original neurologist. I am forever grateful for Dr. Powers and his team!"
