Reviews
"Very disappointed. My Creatinine and eGFR numbers have been steadily getting worse. I didn’t find out until recently (previous doctor never mentioned it). Anyway, being at stage 3, I decided to see a nephrologist and hopefully stop the downward spiral before it’s too late - also maybe find out what’s causing it. I found him to be friendly and polite, asked a few questions then determined I had CKD caused by NSAIDS and should be seen again in six months. He totally ignored the fact that I hardly ever take them! I hate taking any kind of pills. Anyway, I asked about a dietitian, figuring that maybe I could adjust what I eat, as some foods are more kidney friendly than others. “We don’t refer to nutritionists.” Really? Do they just wait until a steady income from patients on dialysis?"
"I was in the ICU at Southwest General Hospital. I have never met a worse bedside manor doctor. He did not do any tests but told me it was a kidney problem and he would order tests when I went to see him. All out for the money not his patients. I had had a kidney removed in 2015 by a urologist for a staghorn calculi that had killed all kidney function. He kept asking me why did I have them remove the kidney which was the stupidest question, like I had a choice. Look else where for a kidney doctor who cares about their patients not money!"
