About the Business
BreakThru Medical Withdrawal Management at Southwest General Health Center offers a compassionate and evidence-based program designed to assist patients through the challenging initial days of withdrawal from drugs or alcohol. Located within Southwest General Health Center, BreakThru ensures that patients are medically stabilized and managed in a medical/surgical unit, similar to how patients recovering from surgery or other medical conditions are treated. This approach helps preserve the dignity and confidentiality of each patient.
Our program employs a multidisciplinary team approach to manage withdrawal symptoms and any medical comorbidities, ensuring safe and effective medical outcomes. We pride ourselves on our innovative collaboration between the hospital and community referral partners, which allows us to establish personalized aftercare discharge plans for each patient. To support long-term recovery, we follow up with patients for one year to monitor their recovery outcomes.

"Great hospital there is a lot of art on the walls. It feels soothing like an art museum. When I was waiting for a loved one in surgery I walked the halls and looked at all the artwork. It was relaxing during a tense time."
"I've always had a place in my heart for this hospital. Both of my children were born here and I as well as other family members have spent time here. It has a warm atmosphere and the Doctors have always been very helpful and forthcoming. I wish they were in the Cleveland Clinic network so that I would get referred there more often but my wife still has physicians here that I trust will take good care of her."
"I've visited several departments at this hospital and have been amazed by how friendly and receptive their staff are. The wait time has been minimal and the physicians readily answer any and all questions thoroughly. The layout of the hospital makes it easy to find your way around and it is very well kept."
"I have had very good service here over the years.. yes, there has been a time or two that I did wait a long time in the emergency room department. Although since they added the new building on it does seem to run much smoother. As far as the private practices. ... I love my gyn. But, I disliked a few others enough to never return .. So to sum it up. I think the hospital itself is great. There is alot of different doctors there so it is to be expected to find a few that we don't like."
"I had my baby here in 2014. The staff were very kind, but extremely busy. It was clear that the ER and the maternity departments were understaffed. It took awhile for the nurses to be able to respond to the call button, even while I was in labor. But once you got a nurse in the room, they did a good job of answering questions and the lactation consultants were very helpful. I hope that the understaffing is a temporary problem. The food is good, the rooms are pretty nice and in general the nurses are good too, but there just aren't enough of them!"
