"Overall clean and comfortable room for my one night stay, and shuttle service was great for a very early flight. Checkin was a little tricky, old door locks that are being replaced soon. Your mileage may vary depending on what room you get, but my room was clean and comfy!"
"We had a great time staying. The room is large and clean. Staffs are friendly and responsive. The complimentary shuttle to and from the airport is a really nice perk. Breakfast is decent. I did notice that there is no room service so if you have a long stay that can be annoying. We stayed for only 1.5 nights since we need to check out midnight so it is not an issue. Another down side is the noise from the train but given the location of the hotel that can't be helped. The location is close to many downtown restaurants and activities if you do not mind 15 minutes of walking. Hotel shuttle can drop you off downtown though but we never used it. For the price this hotel is fantastic . I would stay here again if I come back to Anchorage."
"Overall our 6 days here wasn't terrible. It was hard to get the temperature right in the room. It was overly hot most of the time. The bed wasn't the worst but very firm. We received no service in the room the entire stay even though we specifically asked for it 2 mornings in a row. The night of the second time I went to ask the desk about it. They apologized and gave me a stack of towels and some trash bags to take care of the room myself. The indoor pool was so cold we thought about jumping in Ship Creek to warm up. And it's January..... The location isn't terrible. If you want to stay off the beaten path. But you can't walk anywhere nearby. In the summer it would have been better. Although the train whistles all night or less than desirable."
"Room was disgusting. Can guarantee the bathroom was not cleaned. There was dry urine on the toilet. Showered and luckily I looked at my towel because it was not clean. You could feel the tiles shifting and grout was missing from the tiles. The bed looked like it was made by a child. Continental breakfast was lithe others have said, eggs (that were like eating rubber), bacon, and waffle maker, and bread. I would continue writing this review but I think the bathroom portion is enough to capture the gist."
"The room was disgusting. The beds were clearly not clean and had just been remade from the last guest. Asked for clean sheets. Still dirty and covered in long black hair and stains. Bathrooms were also covered in hair and towels were ripped and dirty. Food was left in fridge from previous guest. The first night, our hotel room neighbor “Wilhelmina” had the cops called on her and was screaming. Two nights later, there was a lady screaming and fighting with a man and slamming doors. I assume it was the same people who are apparently locals.. (all that to say that it’s just a really low class group of people here). Basically no parking. Breakfast is just waffle maker, eggs, and cheap sausage. They sometimes have some oranges so not really a meal you can count on like I was hoping. Not the biggest deal, just wanted to make note. The staff I dealt with are really lazy and just stand out and smoke most of the time. The one time we asked for the shuttle bus, they said it would be two hours before it could take us. The city is maybe 5 minutes away. The bus driver was sitting right in the lobby just on his phone. So basically they just didn’t want to take us… the one good thing is that our room had a pretty view of the river."
