"If you live in Irwin, be aware that you may not get your mail. And if you inquire about missing mail, and dare to notify USPS, you'll have a passive aggressive Karen (named Kelly) who decides whether or not she feels like delivering your mail depending on her mood and leaves you passive aggressive notes. Since before I moved into my location with my now husband, there have been issues. When my husband called to complain and find out how to resolve said issues, Kelly at the front desk left a passive aggressive post it note on his mail that said "Thank you for calling Gary :)" (her supervisor). So unprofessional and juvenile, and honestly pretty ballsy when you know we'll address that as well. (in case you didn't know, Kelly, he's very aware of that little stunt) When I had my first package from Amazon get delivered, she told my husband (boyfriend at the time) that she was going to send it back because she "didn't recognize my name". I'm sorry lady, but you do understand it's your job to deliver my mail, and illegal for you to refuse to deliver my mail unless it's a safety issue or the mail hasn't been picked up leading you to believe we no longer live here? I couldn't care any less that this is a small town. You don't refuse to deliver mail because you think that everyone that moves in should go introduce themselves and convince you to do your damn job. We continued to have issues. I still haven't received an important court document sent months ago, our mail isn't consistently delivered to our actual mailbox, and even though they refuse to deliver our mail to our home 3/4 of the time, they make us pay for a PO Box. The mail carrier puts our mail in the HOA mailbox (our box is literally right next to it with our house number, just like everyone else in the neighborhood. It's not rocket science) The latest issue is that a car title, which I very much need, was returned to the sender. I have a photo. It says "return to sender-vacant-unable to forward". I am FURIOUS. We keep being told by Gary that it will be "taken care of". Well, obviously it hasn't been. I didn't move. I literally had other mail get delivered last week. We are very much still living here, and checking the mailbox AND the PO Box multiple times a week. We're about to consult an attorney. "Postal workers who deliberately delay or destroy mail illegally can face large fines or even prison time, according to 18 US Code 1703". We're not waiting around for another promise of "oh I'll look into it". We'll either start to receive every item of mail to our mailbox, be notified by Gary or his superior of the actions taken (hopefully firing Kelly) or we will be contacting an attorney and maybe some jail time for Kelly would convince her that petty actions like this really aren't worth it for your ego and sense of control and power trip. We were told that someone came down to train Kelly how to do her job correctly (I mean, she's been working there for years, why didn't anyone do that before???) Obviously it did absolutely nothing, and Gary is saying he will come down if he has to. I expect a resolution. And beware anyone else living in this city since the post office lady won't do her legal duty."
"I'll tell you what, Kelly is about as good as it gets. We'll be sad when she retires."
