"Hands down, one of THE best if not THE best place I stopped in during my time in the US. I was heading to Yellowstone National Park, but decided to turn around (after having briefly stopped in Dubois) to stop there the night. I happened to come across Twin Pines Lodge and Cabins on Expedia at a great price, so snapped it up whilst it was still available. The staff at the front desk were very pleasant, especially the gentleman who I was conversing with. Parking was great, as there was a space for a car outside each cabin, with a one-way system in place too. Inside the cabin... WOW! So very rustic and comfortable, with a HUGE bed and a burner too (not too sure of the name of these), which heated things up very quickly and made for a very cosy setting. Had all the things needed in a room like a microwave and TV. Shower worked fabulously and everything was really clean and tidy, so hats off to housekeeping. Even got to see a few deer in the early hours of the morning outside, so don't be alarmed if you happen to hear the odd noise outside. SUPER impressed with this place and would not hesitate in returning if ever I was back in Dubois... HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!"
"We stayed here on June 13 while on a bicycle trip and enjoyed our stay. The lodge is right along the main street but when you step into the lobby, it's like being in a rustic mountain lodge. Most rooms are on the 2nd floor, where we stayed, or in cabins which we didn't see but they were neat and clean though relatively spartan. The person on duty was attentive to our needs as they made a place for our bicycles. It was a memorable place to stay and quite comfortable."
"Great location. No rug by the door & it rained so we had to use our own towel. One be was pretty noisy & the other bed was way too soft & both of us sunk to the middle, really bad nights sleep. The are no A/C in the cabins. Neither clerk I dealt with said thank u at any point. Exhaust fan in bathroom doesn't work."
"Our cabin was nice and clean with 2 rooms. We had a fridge and microwave and it was very authentic log cabin. Unfortunately our cabin was right next to the street so we had all the traffic noise. But everything else was nice. Nice-sized stand-up shower in the bathroom. From the website photos I thought the cabins were spaced farther apart and surrounded by grassy areas, but that wasn't the case. Overall it worked out well for us."
"Cozy and comfortable, very charming lodgings. The owner was friendly and helpful. No food, but plenty of choices within close walking distance. The room was a bit warm at night, even with windows open and ceiling fan going. We were glad to have brought an extra fan from home."
