"I highly recommend Kelsey at Willow Creek Counseling! She is professional, personable and genuinely dedicated to improving the wellbeing of her clients. As someone who wasn’t sure what to expect from a therapist, I was pleasantly surprised to experience Kelsey’s calm, focused and compassionate demeanor. She takes notes to ensure you don’t repeat yourself session-to-session and adjusts her approach based on your learning style and preferences. Kelsey is also great at providing resources and recommendations outside of recurring sessions with a focus on results/outcomes and building sustainable habits. Additionally, I appreciate the fact that Kelsey is well educated in CBT techniques (among many others) and chooses to discuss these concepts in a way that resembles speaking with an insightful, wise friend or mentor. This approach removed any concerns I had about condescension or judgement on my counseling journey. I genuinely look forward to my sessions with Kelsey and am appreciative of her insights, perspective and authentic interest in my success. She has been a huge help to me personally as we’ve navigated topics such as stress management, anxiety, work/personal challenges, and overall self-improvement. I feel confident recommending Kelsey to anyone looking to start or continue their therapy journey. *Bonus: Kelsey’s space is very comfortable, welcoming and aesthetically pleasing!"
"I cannot recommend Kelsey enough! From the moment I started seeing her, she has been a fun and calming presence. Kelsey makes me feel seen and heard by the way she recaps our previous session and what we are currently working on as well as rarely needing to remind her of previous discussions. She actively helps during a session to learn new skills or practice with her. Her space is very calming and welcoming. Kelsey helps provide actionable steps to work through issues and tough moments, producing results and progress."
"I can't say enough wonderful things about Kelsey and her practice. I was nervous about trying counseling for the first time, and from the very first session I knew I made the right decision. Her office has a calming and comforting ambience, and is very conveniently located. Kelsey has a supportive and positive demeanor, and she provides insightful and thoughtful feedback. After every session I feel like it was the best part of my day. I highly Willow Creek Counseling if you are looking for therapy in Missoula, especially if you are considering therapy for the first time."
"From the get-go, Kelsey has always been very open and supportive of finding the best therapist for me, whether that was her or not. But there was no need to look any further as her positive therapeutic approach helped me change my life for the better. Reaching out to a therapist in the first place was hard, but Kelsey immediately made me feel comfortable. Her office is in a really great location, has amazing ambience and I haven’t gone one session without her asking if I want water, coffee, or tea. I had never experienced Cognitive Behavioral Therapy before (CBT) and in the months I have seen Kelsey I have grown so much and experienced a significant decrease in my anxiety. Kelsey does not give you blatant advice or tell you what you need to do, instead she helps you discover the right path on your own, using guiding questions. This has proved to be much more helpful than my experiences in the past. I am no longer being told what is best for me, but choosing it for myself, using the healthy coping techniques and communication skills that Kelsey has taught me. If you are looking for someone to tell you everything you want to hear, then she is not the therapist for you. But if you are looking to be guided in a very honest and positive way then I would recommend going to Willow Creek Counseling."
