"I was impressed with the staff and care at providence. They had us in and out of the ER in 3 hours. This included a team of a doctor, 2 RNs, respiratory & pharmacy. They had to sedate my daughter and pop her elbow back in place and the RN was great and had great bedside manner along with the Doctor who explained everything clear and precisely. Was very impressed with this team at Providence!"
"If you want to have the most harmful experience of your life, by all means, go to St. Patrick’s Hospital! I was sent to the ER due to a suicide attempt, and the lack of empathy that runs among the doctors and nurses is ASTONISHING! I am surprised they were even able to get into this profession, they truly Shouldn’t be. When I first arrived, possibly around 9 PM, I was met with a doctor with dark brown curly hair. His demeanor was AWFUL! He had a smug attitude and was talking to me like he didn’t care, although I was crying. There were no need to hurry, so I assumed that I wasn’t dying and that I should just go home because the hospital made me extremely uncomfortable due to the lack of mental health education. When I was talking with the other doctor, I was telling him about how I would like to go home and that I was uncomfortable, and he told me “we can keep you here against your will…… This is not an argument” I have always been soft-spoken and was telling the “health professional” my needs, and he assumed we were in an argument if that is what he thinks an argument, looks like I’d hate to see what one actually looks like for him. Then, when it came to drawing my blood, not once not twice not three times but four times they stuck me all over both my arms, trying to draw blood also three different nurses while using the same needle. Gross. And I also overheard them referring to me as a “that” and an “it” Now I am no doctor for sure! And maybe it was a hard night for them as it was for me. But I am no idiot. I have been studying clinical psychology for years now, and not to brag I value my intelligence on the subject so as you can imagine the social worker that had to work the night of March 4 between the time 8 PM and 12 AM long brown hair really taught me what not to do when I get licensed. Her attitude is unforgivable, and it’s people like her that make the mental health community less likely to reach out for help. She constantly rolled her eyes at me when I was expressing that I would like to leave. I thought her eyes would get stuck. I was trying to express my needs and once she cut me off multiple times snapping “I hear you but I’m just saying “did she hear me though I had asked her if I could call my therapist and she still there in silence for a good minute, her eyes, and then said “I just don’t understand why you need to call your therapist” excuse me? Aren’t You a social worker? To the mental health community that had to deal with a similar experience at this hospital I am very sorry and this is my vow to be better than the staff at this hospital, and to take this experience as a learning experience of what not to do. Sorry not sorry. Do better"
"I drove 2 hours to bring my 16 month old Baby in who was clearly in severe pain with ongoing fevers. When I got there they did a nasal swab and sent me home saying it was just a cold. Still in severe pain one week later I made the 2 hour drive in the snow. When I got there they told me I was over reacting and sent me home again. The next day she could not walk. Terrified, I drove back again and they finally agreed to do some more testing. The doctor did some blood tests and came back and told us "Well, the good news is, she dosent have cancer!" They sent us to community to get an MRI. It turned out she had CANCER. She passed away 9 months later because the cancer was so far along initially, it was not possible to rid from her body. It has been almost a year and I was just able to write this review. Please put just alittle more effort into caring for your patients."
"After having some complications with a colonoscopy procedure I went to the ER the next day. Dr Timothy Donovan was the attending physician. This man has such amazing bedside manner. He was personable, sympathetic to my pain and took the time to talk to me even though the ER was slammed. He didn't dismiss me like other ER doctors have done. Dr. Donovan is an asset to St Patrick Hospital! Thank you again for your care."
"Our son and daughter in law expecting their first child and we are visiting for michigan and they were nice of enough to give us a tour. We feel alot better knowing and seeing where our granddaughter will be born and the staff there"
