"The corporate management that runs this place is so unbelievably bad it's not worth living here. Not to mention their behavior and the state of this area effectively makes it dangerous and a living hellscape. They regularly don't answer calls, they don't call back when you leave a message. When concerns are brought up, there is no integrity or follow through. When messages are relayed, the information is lost and forgotten EVERY time. The leasing office is often locked during business hours with blocked out windows so they can see you and choose not to open the door. They routinely rely on avoidance, gaslighting, forgetfulness, and straight up lying when integrity isn't held. They consistently make mistakes. The staff doesn’t communicate so one person will call, discuss things, then an hour later someone else will call and say the same thing or give different info and then gaslight you when the info changes. For example, I requested info about parking passes with one other witness joining me during the conversation. Management said I could park in the lot as long as my license plate was on record. I asked if I needed a sticker, they said no. Then my car was towed one night and it cost over $700 to get it back. I asked management why and they said because I didn’t put a sticker in the windshield. I called them out on giving me misinformation and they gaslit me once again and said “we would never say that…” This is known as predatory towing anywhere else. My dad used to work for a tow truck business and he said places like this often make deals with tow companies and will take a cut whenever they tow someone. So unbelievably asinine. When I've brought concerns to upper management, I just get the most corporate answers, loophole solutions that go nowhere, and bizarre condescension/more gaslighting. In multiple years I was never helped with anything, even when things were confirmed multiple times. Regular dog drama. The ONLY enforcement I ever saw regarding aggressive dogs was when one killed another on the property. Upon returning from travel, I was locked out of the building while homeless crackheads stalked me behind cars because they didn’t reset my key fob which was discussed 3 times via phone over many weeks. I had to get maintenance to come open it for me in middle of the night. Another time I was locked out at 5am in 16° because the power failed - which is supposed to trigger emergency unlock on all the key fob locked doors in the building. The power regularly fails btw. The AC has broken during winter and began blowing 90° air into my appt, no way to turn it off. I had to sleep with the windows open for a week because maintenance couldn’t fit me in their schedule. The same thing happened in the summer. Took more than a week again. Management didn’t charge me less for utilities or offer any apology despite it literally being illegal. If the management wasn’t bad enough, the deranged homeless situation on the street is mind blowing. People easily turn a blind eye to it all, but if you listen and look closely, which you will have no choice to do when your windows face the street… you’ll find that this place is entirely unhinged. Drug epidemic is rampant here. People are screaming psychotic nonsense into the dark most nights. My final year there, one morning I discovered a homeless man who had hung himself from the building behind Macaroni. I had to personally call the police to get him cut down. Management didn’t care despite it causing me serious mental distress. The police station used to be located on the same lot. It was a time of peace. I’ve heard from people in the know that the police actually asked to move back and we’re denied by art space. I also heard they have plans to turn that same abandoned building into the new homeless shelter. Effectively ushering a new extreme of the dystopia this street has already become. I can’t say enough about how insane, useless, and delusional the business that runs these properties is."
"I'm calling the Better Business Beareu because this is a playground of violations. I've worked in Real Estate law for quite some time now, and was the child of an esteemed property manager. This is one of the one of abysmal buildings I've ever seen in my life. It's an embarrassment that this is even considered shelter, much less that you're allowed to take affordable housing vouchers. This is one of the most dangerous places I've ever seen for people with disabilities. The way they treat people with mental or physical disabilities is disgusting. I've now heard no less than 7 calls from different tenants who have begged me to help them get legal cases together and the constant circles, indirect comments, mismatching information and straight up aggression and lies I've been witness to makes me absolutely sick to my stomach. People LIVE here. These are their HOMES. Is it really so hard to understand that they deserve to feel safe and have their repairs attended to in a timely manner?"
"It's CORPORATE RULE. Management is horrible. Laundry is bad. No amenities at all. They let you know they are always WATCHING you."
"The property is clean and the area isn't THAT bad. It's rough, but generally, people treat me and my daughter well... saying "hi" and smiling at us on a regular basis."
