"The maintenance is really bad and when we first moved in there were mice and cockroaches everywhere and we kept complaining every single week for almost 4 months and they would just put traps everywhere for the mice and the mice would bleed and die every where. This was ongoing for almost 6 months and finally I had to move because it got worse lately. The Management didn’t even bother to clean or to move us to another apartment. They just kept saying they will send someone to fix it but nothing changed. They would charge us for parking even though I don’t have a car, they charge for the trash but we take our own trash and dump them in the dumpster every day. The apartments are inhabitable. Sometimes homeless people would come and stay on the floors and use weeds and smoke in the elevator. No one cared about the safety of the tenants."
"After being approved for a lease, they had to push back my move-in date back by a week to take care of a mess left behind by the previous tenant. No problem - I make do. Then they push it back again. And again. Week by week, my move-in date was pushed back by 57 days. When I moved in, the apartment was not clean. The floors had not even been swept. The walls were dirty. The dishwasher did not work. There were roaches living there that crawled on us while we slept. Management barely even made an attempt to help with the roaches and did not send someone to help until more than a week after we moved in. They told me that I should set up roach traps myself. But even after treatment, the roaches kept coming back very aggressively. It took weeks for them to give us a mailbox key because they simply did not make an effort to cut a copy of a key (the machine to cut keys is literally in their office), and when they finally got me the key, it turned out to be for the wrong mailbox. It took something like 10 weeks for us to finally get access to OUR mailbox, and USPS had already gotten rid of important documents that had been sent to us. It took this long despite me constantly stopping by their office and bombarding them with phone calls. Plus, every time I go into their office, I have to go into work late or leave early, because their office hours are abysmal and they never answer the phone. Maintenance requests took weeks to months to be completed. When I moved out, there were maintenance requests many months old that still had not been completed. My car was broken into multiple times. I had packages stolen from the mail room. People do drugs in the stairwells. Throughout my entire stay, despite their complete lack of respect and effort, I tried my best to be very friendly and cordial with them. Upon moving out, they took my full security deposit and then sent me an additional bill for hundreds of dollars months later. The apartment was reasonably clean when I moved out. It was not spic and span, but at least I had set up roach traps, swept, and fixed the dishwasher, which was more than they did for me. After everything, this was a huge slap in the face - to force me to pay them even more money after they never attempted to keep the apartment clean, functional, or safe when I moved in, nor at all during my entire stay. The extra money I paid will certainly go to something superficial like repainting their hallway walls, rather than anything meaningful such as maintenance staff, eliminating their roach problem, or taking care of you in any meaningful way. Their lack of effort and care, for the people paying them way too much money to live in awful conditions, is pathetic. I have lived in less-than-ideal housing, but this one takes the cake. Have some respect for yourself and do not live here. They simply do not care about you, and they do not care about addressing their litany of management problems. I have since then found a cheaper apartment that is in a better location with better conditions and an incredible staff. You can find that too, and it is not at Citifront."
"I’m not one to ever leave reviews especially bad reviews but, I moved into Citifront on November 30th, so i’ve been living here only for about a month and a half now. Before moving in here I wanted to get in as fast as possible because of the fact it has income restricted/low income based apartments for cheap, right next to downtown and downtown living, and a great start for me being by myself. Except it just took a huge turn for the worst as soon as I moved in. First thing I noticed was the broken water heater (still not replaced), the broken disposal, ripped carpet, missing blinds causing absolutely no privacy in here, broken closet doors, and the MAJOR issue for me was the cockroaches SWARMING the entire place. I put in a handful of maintenance requests so that my issues can be resolved but the only thing they managed to fix was the disposal and the blinds, mind you this wasn’t fixed until two days ago when I had to walk into the leasing office and beg them to fix the issues. I’m constantly getting sick from the cockroaches since I moved in, no matter how clean I keep my apartment. I bleach, mop, sweep and wipe down everything every single day yet it gets worse and worse. I have no furniture inside my place except my bed, i’ve never had cockroaches before in my life until I moved here. I talked to my neighbors and they are experiencing the same thing even people across the whole building, so it’s not just a “neighbor issue” as the office told me. These bugs are crawling across my kitchen, walls, bedroom, cabinets, EVERYWHERE! The blinds not getting fixed until two days ago was harmful to my safety as well. I am a woman and the last thing I want is people staring through my blinds on the first floor, but a few nights ago that’s exactly what happened and I didn’t and still do not feel safe in a place that I pay for every single month, but management would never care enough to fix that. I haven’t been able to shower with hot water for the past month and a half due to a completely broken water heater. The maintenance guy has came in and told me they need to replace it because it was just broken and they couldn’t fix it. Nobody has came to replace it still halfway through January. The homeless area near by is so bad, so good luck feeling safe if you are on the first floor or facing any streets. We pay a $25 parking fee for a secured garage area to keep our cars safe and able to freely park overnight without the possibility of tickets from parking on the street, however the sliding security gate has been messed up and left open for nights in a row including days where I don’t even feel like my car is safe. Moving here I was very excited, but it’s been nothing but disappointments. These picture are from the past 4 hours."
"I lived at Citifront for 3 years, the first year was great. They had a few issues but overall you could tell that they genuinely cared and wanted to do their best. After the first year it was bought by a different company and it made living there horrible. Putting in work orders was useless because no one ever came and fixed anything. The only time anyone ever came was after I had gone down there multiple times to ask them if they would fix my problem. I attached a picture of my air filter, they didn’t change it after the first year and never came to replace it. I had 5 work orders in when I moved out one of them being 3 months old. The fire alarm goes off multiple times a week and stays on for hours at a time. They don’t have anyone in the office so you have to walk to the office in the apartment next door and they will not answer your calls. They don’t hold packages in the office and expect deliveries to get to your door but the doors are locked and you need a key fob so they usually get dropped off in the mailroom where they will most likely get stolen. I had almost $500 in packages stolen and when I asked if they could do anything to help me they told me no. Cars were broken into because the gate never worked so anyone could come in and the elevators were broken for months when I finally moved out. We had a horrible bug problem this year and they didn’t do anything about it I had to get rid of them. If I could give this place a 0/5 stars I would, DO NOT MOVE HERE. Nobody really cares about how your experience is and they will not do anything to make it better."
"I have lived here for over 2 years now. Half of that time I’ve been living month to month constantly asking the office when I can get a new lease for over a year, no one ever had an answer. Ever since Weinder bought the apartments complex the office staff has been short staffed and hard to maintain employees. When I applied for a new apartment they got in contact with Bridges/ Citifront and said I was not a resident here and I was someone completely different. The experience wasn’t great sadly. There’s still problems with the homelessness around the area. Cars in the area are broken into all the time. Some comments from the reviews says there’s extra security now, they only mean there’s more gates (that people have went through it easily already) and the main one has been on and off working since 2 years ago. 2 of 3 of the elevators have not been working for over a couple of months and puts people with disabilities in a hard position to get around in the higher floors. There’s a major roach complex infestation. Make sure to clean your vents before actually moving in for roaches/roach feces. There’s also a pigeon problem, one of the residents feeds the pigeons and let’s them in their unit. Not to mention packages are stolen frequently by homeless people getting into the apartments frequently and by other residents. There were some homeless people living in an apartment where the Sheriff had to escort them out, that apartment has not been cleaned out and there’s roaches coming out of it every day I pass by and it has been multiple months now. Sometimes they do sleep in the hall/ stair areas. Police are here quite often and fire alarms are pulled mostly everyday from the kids in the complex. Maintenance has not kept up with changing the air filters since a year and a half ago when the Weinder bought the complex. I’ve also put in a request to fix the washer/dry in March and maintenance has never came. I assume due to change of employees during that time. No matter how much the cleaning staff cleans it always smells and still looks dirty even though they tired so hard. MAKE A IN-PERSON TOUR! PLEASE go to the apartments before you make a decision. If you’re also looking into getting a security deposit back, they do charge for normal wear and tear such as paint touch up’s and professional cleaning/ carpet cleaning. Keep that in mind. I would like to thank Bea Cervantes the Community Director for being a huge help in the move-out process and has answered all my questions/concerns."
