"This man extended his stay for 2 days after teaching at the St. George Hospital when he heard I was about to deliver twins at 31 weeks due to twin to twin transfusion (keep in mind he did not work at this particular hospital) and took such good care of our babies. He is very honest, and I feel like that was very much needed when dealing with such an extremely stressful experience and both myself and my husband were very grateful for his ability to give us the 411. He spent those 2 days of his extra stay talking with me about how amazingly they were doing and keeping me up to date on their well-being. Forever grateful for his expertise and willingness to serve when he didn’t have to."
"Incredibly disrespectful and lied abut my son's test results, claiming that he was suffering withdrawals, but explained incredibly normal behavior for a newborn, especially a premature one nd tried passing it off as something it wasn't. A few days later there was no longer an y concern and I came to find after the fact that it was because the test results came back negative."
"He is an absolute joke. Lied to me and my husband saying that my son was suffering "withdrawals" . We knew for a fact this couldn't be the case unless he was withdrawing from something that the hospital had administered to him or me. He told us his umbilical chord tested positive then "magically" after 2 days he told us there was no concern any longer for it. Sure enough about a month after the fact, I was able to get the records and my son tested negative for everything. On top of that, in the middle of telling him we no longer wanted to receive pamphlets or lectures regarding my minimal MEDICAL marijuana use, he cut us of and AGAIN gave us the information we had ben hearing EVERYDAY that we were in the middle of telling him we didn't want to hear. Absolutely disrespectful and unprofessional. Shouldn't have his job."
"Dr Gerday managed the care for our little boy perfectly after a C-section. Our son was born at only 31 weeks and we were so concerned. However under Dr Gerdays care we were able to remove CPAP and IV lines after only a few days. He has a very French style which means he is extremely honesty which I think is difficult for a lot of Utahns. However I prefer his straight forward method of communication."
"This man screamed at me in a NICU about how lucky I was, as my newborn, premature baby lay on a bed with his stomach, his liver, and his intestines partially outside of his body. I'm smart enough to know that far worse results could have come from my child's medical condition, I am so glad we had a good medical team throughout the pregnancy - he would have never made it without them. I'm also smart enough to know that no child is "lucky" to be born with such a medical condition and to be stuck in a NICU awaiting major surgery. This was a difficult time for our family, and I had the audacity to ask what the prognosis was before agreeing to a surgery that could have ended our newborn child's life or left him with crippling health problems. I was also a patient, recovering from an unplanned cesarean. Somehow every nurse in that department managed to act with a massive amount of compassion, but not this man. This man was screaming in a room with newborn babies struggling to heal, or even to just stay alive. It's been years, and it's still unreal to me."
