U-Pack

"We recently used U-Pack to relocate a family member to the Southeast. U-Pack made it incredibly easy to get their home packed up, loaded and shipped. The driver was very understanding. After dropping off the pod he came back an hour or so later to pick it up the same day. Delivery was perfect. They arranged a time to drop off the pod and were there on time. If we ever need to get back across country, we will use U-Pack!"

"I hired U-Pack to move across the country and was AMAZED by their service! I talked with a consultant on the phone who was super friendly and helpful. She even gave me tips on packing the trailer so that my belongings wouldn’t be damaged. The ABF driver who dropped off the trailer at my home (to be loaded) was incredibly thorough and helpful! He climbed into the trailer with me and showed me everything step-by-step (how to unlock/open the door, how to unlock and move the bulkhead, how to set up the ramp, how to hook straps into the wall). I first got an estimate from PODS, but their price to move my family was three times as expensive as U-Pack! U-Pack has many great tips on their website about how to pack items and how to load items to keep them safe in a move. (For example, pack everything as tightly as possible using lots of straps and moving blankets.) We loaded everything ourselves, so we realize there is a chance some things may be damaged in the drive. But it would be due to our own improper packing techniques, not any fault of the company. So far we have had a VERY positive experience working with this company. I am so glad that I found U-Pack, and I would recommend them to anyone."

"We had such a positive experience using U-Pack. From our very first phone call to get our move scheduled we were met with friendly helpful service. Our trailer was delivered on time. The pick up was smooth, and the driver was friendly. The truck arrived in the timeframe we were given and scheduling the drop off was very easy. The driver for the drop was so kind and helped up take down the shield doors and set up the ramp. Overall we were very happy with every aspect of our interactions with U-Pack and all of their staff."

"Buyer Beware!! Please don't make the same mistake my husband and I did by using this company for a long distance move. We recently moved from Las Vegas to northern Michigan and the entire experience with U-Pack from beginning to end was a disaster unfortunately. We never had a chance to meet the actual driver because the company doesn't know how to arrive at the agreed upon times. Our initial drop off time was between 4-8 PM but of course the driver arrived at 1 PM during the middle of the week. Most people work for a living and this isn't a reasonable time to accommodate last minute, especially if you're a busy professional. The same situation occurred when the driver picked up the trailer. The driver arrived much sooner than the 4-8 PM window so we didn't have a chance to talk with them about the trailer, the bulkhead install, or any other questions/concerns we had. When the driver called us to pick up the trailer, we specifically stated we had trouble installing the bulkhead and needed assistance. When speaking to the driver, he assured us he would be installing this for us since he was unable to accommodate our schedule. We also called the company multiple times with the concern about the bulkhead. They repeatedly assured us that the drivers had a normal routine where they spot checked the trailer before driving long distance and if necessary, would install the bulkhead for us. We're still having a difficult time understanding how a company spot checks the trailer to confirm how much square footage was used, (this determines the final invoice) but they completely ignore the fact that the bulkhead isn't installed. We even have pictures that show footprints on the bulkheads after they crushed our belongings. This leads us to believe someone actually stepped on the bulkhead repeatedly rather than doing their job and making sure the trailer was in reasonable condition before driving 2000+ miles. It must be nice to take people's hard earned money and be allowed to drive anyway you want and damage anything you want without taking any responsibility. When the trailer arrived in Michigan, the bulkhead had NOT been installed and as a result, a large majority of our possessions were damaged. (Please see pics) Please save yourself the trouble and stay away from this company. It's non-reputable and provides extremely poor communication to it's customers. It provides an even poorer end result."

"We would have given U-Pack a 5 star, but when we received our things we were not so happy. Overall the service is great. You pack it in to a trailer or Relo Cube and they drive it out. For us, we were moving across the country so it was a great option. Unfortunately, when we received our things, there was a lot of water in the trailer so our things were damaged. Our mattress, box spring, bed frame, dresser, other furniture and a few of our boxes were completely wet. We had to lay out our things to dry, and we couldn't sleep in our bed. Our furniture had water damage and it was really swollen because of it. We were not notified that water could get in the trailer so we are not happy about it at all."
