"They came to my house to assess him which was a little hard due to us in the middle of the remodel but we made it work. The lady assessing him to see if he was delayed (younger, dark brown hair) and her observer (a little older and blonde) were beyond sweet and sympathetic and did their best despite my son being exhausted due to nap time, however, all we were told was what we already knew and didn't seem like it helped much (not fully on them as my son was not the most cooperative during it). The reason I am leaving two stars is solely the nurse. Jeanette I believe her name was. She came late to the appointment which I understand. She got there, asked her questions, and instantly jumped into her tests. She did not really interact with my son and brought what seemed like a not logical hearing test for my delayed 18 month old. My husband had to hold his arms down while she put the hearing devices in his ears which caused him to panic because he's a baby and was getting pinned down. She proceeded to want him to press buttons on the screen during this as he was agitated from his arms being pinned down. This caused her to say he failed his hearing test. She proceeded to also say she wasn't so sure about his vision because he ran into things and stares at the lights. He's a baby learning to walk. My 4 year old who has perfect vision runs into things every day. They referred me to the school of the deaf and blind when he's clearly not either of those. Early during the assessment the younger lady used a bell behind his head and he looked. He was grabbing things put in front of him and all of it added up to his hearing and vision being fine. I got a second opinion and he is not deaf or blind. I felt this was an extremely unprofessional thing to do. Also the nurse left the appointment early to go to another house and barely interacted with him but deemed him impaired. I think I would have noticed those 2 big impairments if they were true. We were stressed and panicked for no reason because of this. I would not recommend this place. It felt like they heard I was on medicaid and instantly wanted to do everything possible because it was a guaranteed pay day. We wish the assesser that we loved would have spoke up about his hearing the bell and grabbing the toys when the nurse tried to say he had theses issues and she did not. Definitely get a second opinion if this place is your first."
"The home visits are so helpful and my past visitors Amber and Michelle were so amazing!"
"This program was so incredibly helpful for my autistic son that is developmentally and speech delayed. The people we worked with were incredibly knowledgeable, patient, and kind. And their prices are amazingly affordable! The only complaint I have is that services stop once your child turns 3. We appreciated the time we had with them and are beyond thankful for the services provided!"
"We have been sending our kids here for their child care program for over a year now and it has been absolutely wonderful! They have amazing teachers! It was a bit nerve-wracking sending my 2 month old to daycare for the first time, but the infant teachers are so wonderful! Miss Christella is wonderful with the infants and my now 11 month old son is so excited every time he gets to see her at drop off. Their 3 year old and preschool classes are also amazing! My four year can tell me all about syllables, can do basic addition, and constantly tells me about what they have been learning in class. The only reason we are leaving Kids on the Move is because we are moving out of state. I would recommend this program to anyone looking for a quality child care center. The teachers here really understand child development and are highly qualified!"
"We have had the pleasure of working with Molly for the past few months and I have nothing but amazing things to say! She has gone out of her way to make us feel important, validate my concerns, and encourage both my son and I! I work night shifts and had been awake for over 24 hours today, and she took extra time to play with my son and help tire him out so that we could both get a nap in. It meant the world to me, she is amazing!"
