"After going to the ER for an ectopic pregnancy with pain, Dr. Rees (who was the physician on call) turned me away from having emergency surgery and attempted to postpone my surgery to remove the pregnancy until the next day. I left the ER after he told me he wouldn't do the surgery until the next day but the AMAZING ER staff advocated so well for me and I was able to get into emergency surgery. At my post op appt 2 weeks later, Dr. Rees addressed what happened at the ER and was incredibly abrasive and unprofessional. He addressed me in the exam room about my "behavior" ALONE (without the Office Manager or any nurses present) and started lecturing me in a way that honestly frightened me. It was so unethical and crossing a major line of professionalism. When I called the Office Manager to address it, he sent me a letter in the mail - I can only guess in an attempt to intimidate me out of reporting his behavior. The experience of having an ectopic pregnancy, after 4 consecutive losses, was bad enough without his threatening and unethical behavior. I understand that there may have been misunderstandings or miscommunication in the ER, but his attempt to address the situation was done SO inappropriately and something needs to be done to hold him accountable for his unprofessional decisions."
"Dr Rees is the best!! He made me feel so validated during my pregnancy with the crazy concerns I had."
"Meant to leave a review for Dr Rees forever ago because he is amazing. He ended up doing an emergency c-section on me in August 2021 and I can't say enough how great he was. Funny thing I'll never forget is him asking what kind of music I wanted playing during it (after first asking if I was okay with music playing) and him telling me that my first response would possibly put him to sleep and how that wouldn't be good for anyone except for the nurses getting a break from his jokes and antics. We ended up going with 80s rock music and no joke I felt like I was at a party - in the best way. I wish I remembered who the anesthesiologist was because their relationship was hilarious and they both worked wonders with taking away any worries that I had going into it. Would recommend Dr Rees a million times over"
"If I could give Dr. Rees zero stars, I would definitely do that! I try to be as positive as I can. But I cannot for the situation I experienced with him and his office staff. It has taken me several months to be able to write this review because of the trauma I experienced after undergoing a bladder sling repair surgery with Dr. Rees. I was assured that this was an easy, same-day surgery. However, what I experienced is a total nightmare and anything but routine and easy. When I woke up from surgery, my inner right hip tendon felt like it was on fire (I didn't know it was the hip abductor tendon at the time). The pain was excruciating! I was in so much pain, and I couldn't even sit up. I could only stay lying down. I had to be admitted to the hospital for two days. In this time, Dr. Rees only came to see me right after surgery and once in the hospital. He kept repeating that this never happens. He basically did nothing to help me, released me from the hospital, and never checked on me again. My best friend had to take care of me because I couldn't even sit to use the bathroom nor shower for two weeks. I had to go into the office to be seen to remove my catheter a week after surgery. I had to use a walker and was in a lot of pain. The office staff treated me like I was pariah and an embarrassment to their office. I saw an untrained medical assistant that could not answer any of my questions. I never saw a doctor. And the medical assistant asked my friend, who had to take me to the doctor because I couldn't drive myself) to open a saline bottle for her and help her with other stuff (she didn't even bother to check if my friend's hands were clean). There are too many unbelievable and unprofessional details to include. Even when I called the office in desperation to speak with Dr. Rees as my surgeon, the nurse refused to have him call me back. The whole situation is unreal. I still feel pain every time I walk, and it has been 8 months since my surgery. Dr. Rees acts like a concerned and caring doctor. But if there are any problems at all, he is nowhere to be found. I would avoid Dr. Rees and his staff and find another doctor and staff that can handle out of the norm situations. Because you can't guarantee that your surgery will be an easy, run of the mill one. Dr. Rees did nothing to help me once complications from surgery he performed on me arose. I do not want anyone else to experience what I had to endure with him and his staff."
"This man is an Angel! He went beyond what he should have for me during my surgery. He took my personal concerns to heart and prolonged a 2.5 hour long surgery to 5 hours to make sure I not only had the outcome I desired but that I would recover quickly. I’ve never met a doctor with such empathy and concern for his patients. I had heard nothing but excellence surrounding him but it wasn’t until I had my own experience with him that I knew he had a patient for life. I had no patient relationship with him before needing his help, and only met twice before surgery with him but No other doctor would have done what he did for me and I am forever grateful. He takes the time and he actually cares about his patients. I can not say enough good about this man."
