"Regret. Prior to choosing Sand & Swirl, we had competitive bids from two other companies – Valley View Granite and Whitewater. We liked Sand & Swirl’s color selections. We immediately paid 80% before fabrication and install. Unfortunately, we felt our experience deteriorated with the installation and subsequent communications with the owners. First, the installer created and left a mess in our garage and entry. It was raining when he arrived, and he asked our 16 year old to remove our vehicle from the garage. He then asked if he could cut shower panels in the garage due to the rain. Although he said he would “blow out” the garage, he did not tell us that cutting would create a large amount of white/gray dust that would cover contents of the garage. In spite of the weather, we were not even asked to reschedule. The installer proceeded, and at times, left the garage door to the house cracked open. White dust blew into the home, coating shoes and areas in the entry. When he left, it appeared he did not “blow out” the garage and the entry wasn’t cleaned. Additionally, although it appeared he covered the engine bay to a 1967 Firebird in the garage, the rest of the car was coated in white dust. In fact, this fine white dust coated much of the contents of our garage, including chairs, coats, pants, boots, tools, toolboxes, sporting equipment, parts, and more. The dust cannot be entirely removed by “blowing it out,” and we were left with a messy garage that could not be used without tracking dust into our home. We immediately contacted the sales rep. Two days later, one of the owners called. He said his installers were not supposed to cut material in an occupied garage. Still, he would not come to even “blow out” the garage for several days (a full week after install, leaving us to deal with the mess until then. We did our best to “blow-out” the garage ourselves. Of course, we couldn’t get everything. We asked Sand & Swirl to hire a professional to clean the garage. They refused, stating our request was “unreasonable.” I believe it was “unreasonable” to cut in the garage knowing the mess it would create. We believe the only way to fully clean the mess will be to empty the garage, dust/wipe hard items/surfaces, and wash soft items. Care will also be required to avoid scratching a classic car. Sand & Swirl’s only offer was to forego our final payment of 20% ($569). This is far short of the cost of hiring someone to clean the garage. Second, we do not believe the design/color we received is consistent with the samples provided. Sand & Swirl has signs in their showroom that state as follows: “Our product varies as does Natural Stone, We cannot guarantee an EXACT match to samples, displays, or any other exact expectations.” We did not expect an “EXACT match” to samples shown/provided. We did, however, expect samples to be representative, and we do not believe they were. We were not shown our shower enclosure/panels before installation, and after being installed, we discovered that the coloring characteristics, in our opinion, were inconsistent with the samples. Instead of “brush marks,” “feathering,” or smearing to the veins, we instead had very distinct grey and white lines. When we expressed concern, we learned that sometimes veins come out of the manufacturing process with movement/smearing and sometimes they do not. We were not told about this before our purchase, nor were we told how much “variation” Sand & Swirl apparently believes is acceptable. Again, we did not expect an “EXACT match,” or that our panels would have the exact same color/design as the samples. We did, however, anticipate something more consistent. Although the sales representative initially told us they would probably offer for us to choose a new color to be installed, the owners have since refused. We cannot recommend Sand & Swirl under the circumstances. Additionally, we have reviewed the owners' response. Because we believe there are inaccuracies in it, we have submitted a complaint to the BBB."

"So happy with our finished shower! The before and after pics don't do justice to how bad the old shower was or how great the new shower is. It is a stunning transformation. Best price available, great staff to work with. This was the second project we have used Sand & Swirl on Ridge was our installer and was excellent. Fast, efficient, detail oriented, so kind, cleaned up after. Highly recommended. Thanks Sand & Swirl!"
"I had an awesome experience working with sand and swirl from start to finish. Pricing was great for the quality of materials, and the professional / experience of the installer. The scheduling from the beginning to the end resulted in an on time completion. I will be using their services in the near future for my other bathroom and any other projects where they can support me. I highly recommend them to anyone and from my experience I believe they will be very satisfied and some if they choose Sand and Swirl."
