"These guys are the best, fast, amazing prices and quality work! We hired them to do our boat several years ago. They were half the price of the other shops we called. Then, I had them do our RV just a few weeks ago. I'm honestly so impressed with how great it turned out. I had them redo the head board, window valances, dinette and captains chairs which were literally peeling. They made everything look original! I can't wait to use our motorhome over Christmas and feel at home with our updated look."
"I had a hole in my captains chair right along a seem with a ribbon joining the seems. I was wondering if the entire chair would need to be reupholstered to fix that single hole. The answer was no, and not only that, they had it done in one day. Incredible service with a fantastic result. The flooring was converted from carpet to sea deck style and the color match is incredible. I feel this company did a great job."
"Martin was a pleasure to work with every step of the process. He helped us design an interior for our boat that we love. There were a few small issues we saw when we went to pick our boat up and he was happy to get those taken care of. He let us know he had a new guy who he was still training and agreed the finish product needed to be fixed to meet his high standards. He was so apologetic he had missed these issues before we came to pick it up. We appreciated his thoroughness in fixing the issues and think the interior looks awesome. Once we took the boat out on the lake, we noticed a place where the upholstery staples had ripped through the vinyl on the side of the captains chair. It isn’t too noticeable, but we worry about long term wear. It’s a busy time of year for both boaters and upholstery shops, so he graciously let us know that he would handle the needed repair in the fall once things slowed down a little. We look forward to getting that fixed up soon. We are so glad we decided to take our boat to Martin and have been happy with each interaction. He is very talented and skilled with what he does and his commitment to quality work is admirable."
"Martin and his team did a phenomenal job bringing back to life the interior on my project 2001 Super Air Nautique. I gave Martin some photos and shared a bit of my vision for the boat and he took it from there with the redesign. The interior was pretty trashed and they had to overhaul a bunch of the panels / interior with new foam. This was not an easy "copy skins and replace" job and they knocked it out of the park. Great communication, fast turnaround, great value, professional facility, I could go on...but the before after photos speak for themselves!"
"I paid Martin almost 4K to put surf tabs and piggyback ballast bags in. They did a very poor job on the installation. Then the customer service was terrible when I asked him to fix it. During the install, they drilled pilot holes into the hull, but got the placement wrong. Instead of filling them with Gelcoat, they just put two purposeless screws into the hull to fill the holes. The piggy-back ballast bags were installed with Cheap hose tubing and sprinkler fittings from Home Depot, instead of using the ribbed tubing and quick-disconnect fittings that are Manufacturers Spec., or from WakeMakers or professional shops. The tubing Kinks easily, The quick disct. fittings are important if you go to Powell, for Mussle Protocols. Professional Piggyback tubing kit from Wakemakers comes w/ 2 check valves to assure the hard tanks fills first, and empties last. They had wired the system into the key switch, but had gotten the wiring wrong. I asked him about it later and he refused responsibility even though they wired their system into the switch. The hose clamps he put in with his Home-Depot hardware, had been tightened using a hand drill with too high of a clutch setting, and had all been stripped/broken. It could have potentially flooded the boat. During the install, Martin and the 16 year-olds working in his shop had gotten the geometry wrong. The result was that when the tabs were fully retracted they were coming up underneath the swim deck and actually lifting the deck slightly before reaching the fully retracted position. Eventually the actuator bent the bolt that it was attached to, and the attachment point on the actuator failed, leaving the tab just flapping behind the boat. The whole actuator must be replaced. I texted Martin from Lake Powell to see if he had any suggestions, and he knew immediately what the problem was and even texted me a picture of another customers’ boat actuator that had the same issue, to verify, so clearly this was a known issue. Next, he suggested that someone must have stepped on it, Which is impossible, and then said he doesn’t usually cover these things past 30 days, which is a direct contradiction to the sales receipt that says 90 days warranty. Next he said if it had been his fault it would have failed sooner, and not after 2 months. He was suggesting that I had mis-treated it somehow, but the only way it could break as it did, is in retraction, There was a gouge in the bottom of the swim deck where the tab had been retracting too far. I have a degree in engineering, and I can tell you for certain it was just poorly installed. Next he suggested that to fix the problem I just put a screw through the two broken plastic ends of the actuator attachment point, and then texted me another picture of where he had done the same thing on someone else’s boat, (again confirming this is an ongoing problem.) I tried his suggestion, and the next time we surfed it broke again, in the same manner, actually breaking the screw in half. When we returned from Powell, I contacted Martin to give him a chance to fix the problem. He said to bring it in about 10 days from then. I agreed and on Wednesday, I tried texting (during business hours) and calling several times to verify he was still planning on me the next day and to get a time, but he did not answer the calls or texts. texted about 6 times before finally getting a text saying to be there at noon. So after a 90 minute drive I got to his shop, and he immediately said it was 10:30 the following Thursday. After re-reading the text I can see how he thought that, but it was a misunderstanding, and there I was. It was going to take half of my day towing it to him, and a tank of gas, and he wanted me to come back the next week and do it all again? For what he told me was a10 minute fix? I couldn’t believe how poor the customer service was. He said “it was out of warranty” (It wasn’t) said he wasn’t going to fix it, to get out of his shop What a piece of work. I just cant say how disappointed I am."
