"This is a Great place. The apartments are beautiful and the staff is wonderful. If you’re thinking of moving into a 55+ apartment please check this out."
"SAVE YOURSELF THE TIME AND MONEY.!!! A Place for Mom highly recommended Sage Cobblestone, so I gave them a call. A nice operator told me how nice the new apartments were, she found a large 1 bedroom that fit my budget and "overlooked the golf course". She put me on the tour schedule for the very next morning and even confirmed the price before we hung up. When I walked into the office the next day, she immediately apologized for the hundres of dollar rent increase, and assured me that the office does this "all the time" and that the poor workers just have no way of knowing in advance. We then moved on to the apartment, which was the "smallest one there is", and was now priced out of my budget. Well, let's go look at it. We walked through hallways filled with ded bugs - yes really! She didn't seem to notice at all. When we finally arrived a "my apartment", I noted that there was an extra bedroom. Remember, we were going to see the smallest apartment offered, and it was only 1 bedroom. So, she kindly suggested that I take my dogs out to the dog Ron while she went to get the correct key and discover where the small one bedroom actually was in the building. While I hung out in the 87 degree dog park, I spoke to 3 current residents and learned things like: the top floor has no insulation so don't rent up there, the dog park and surrounding areas flood when it rains so it's unusable, the additional monthly Charges on top of the rent end up being $2300 per month, and the office staff is uncooperative and uncaring The office worker never came to get me from the dog park as promised so I walked the halls until I found a resident who directed me back to the office. There That's where I , hot and sweating from being outside saw my guide sitting at her desk all nice and chill. I asked for my driver's liscence and stalked out...then drove 2 hours back to my temporary apartment. Save yourself the effort!!! Just don't go."
"I toured the property for a place for my mom and dad a few months ago. The property was beautiful, the staff was so welcoming and helpful. I frequent OU activities as an alumni, and honestly it just makes sense for them to be here. I couldn't ask for a better place to have toured, and likely the future home of my parents. If I could move in, I would! Only reason for 4 stars was because of the construction, but that is basically over from what they've told me. Either way, still a beautiful place to be!"
"If you are considering moving to Sage you should ask yourself the following questions: 1) Am I able to walk the long halls and go up and down stairs easily? If the answer is no, make sure you are on the first floor with an exit door and assigned parking nearby. This is very important for loading and unloading purchases and in case of an emergency. You will still need to be able to walk to pick up your USPS deliveries inside the clubhouse, 2) Do I regularly order online for delivery? If so, will I be available to meet the delivery people outside Sage’s posted business hours or be at home to give Amazon, UPS, FedEx or Instacart access to my apartment. There is no central secure place to drop off packages so if you are not here they may not be delivered. The same is true for any home health care worker that makes house calls. 3) Do I have my own transportation or am I comfortable with using Uber or Lyft? Norman’s bus system does not come south of Hwy 9. There is no transportation to doctors or stores provided by Sage. 4) Sage does not have any employees on the property 24/7. Is this important to you? 5) Ask for a copy of the monthly calendar. 6) If light bothers you at night do not rent near the pickle ball court since the lights around it are on all night or if street noise bothers you don’t rent on the west side. In other words, know yourself and pick your apartment location with care. Having lived here eight months these are a few of the questions people might want to think through before moving here or moving a parent here. The residents are the best part of Sage. Sage has been open eight months (9/2022) and they are still working out the bugs (hiring and retaining staff, keeping up with maintenance, etc.)"
