"The Purcell Post Office is great. The girls at the desk are alway friendly and helpful. The postmaster is the greatest. I ship any where from 5 to 10 package a week. If you look at the reviews they were made when the grumpy old man was postmaster. He was so difficult."
"I went in to have a present shipped, and I weighed the item at home to be about 2lbs. The website said I could choose one of their provided boxes with the shipping price labeled, so I took the present in. The manager told me that I would have to use 2 boxes for my item (even though the provided box was too big), and I said that it couldn't be halved because it was a blanket. Then he strongly suggested I go to walmart and buy a box for it with my own tape cause it would cut the shipping price down by nearly half. Looking at the 29.99 priority shipping box, this felt like a long but cheap solution. So, I went to walmart and bought my own tape and box. When I came back, I was then notified that I would have to buy a shipping label because they don't provide them or write it on the box with a pen. So, I hesitantly wrote the address on the box with a thin pen. And after I gave them the box and they checked it in for shipping I got the bill. 40 dollars for *standard* shipping. I have never been so disgusted with a shipping company. The lack of cost transparency and laziness came as such a slap in the face since the previous location I had used before moving never did business this way. The manager even commented once I brought up the shipping label and box supply that "maybe they should check the website since so many people are seeing offers they aren't aware of." How do you run a USPS location without knowing what your own website says?! Use UPS, FedEx, or any other location if you have the opportunity. **Update**: it's now the next day and they delivered it to me instead of the recipient. Will be demanding a refund. **Update pt 2**: I was notified after visiting the location 3 different times (manager wasn't working) that the situation was my fault and told that I would not be able to receive a refund. Don't even waste your time with this trash service. They like to rip off locals."
"The gentleman with the ponytail has got to be THE rudest representative of the USPS I've ever encountered!!! It's a shame, the town of Purcell is wonderful and can do much better!! Avoid him!!! UGH!!"
"According to Purcell post office if you have a fence they are not responsible to open the fence and bring the package to your door step or office door ( I find this hard to believe). We have no problem with Fed Ex or UPS just Purcell post office.I went into the local branch to talk with the manager after having 4 different packages marked as undeliverable in about 1 months time period all coming from Amazon. On all accessions my staff was in the office waiting for them to arrive on the set dates. When arriveing to the post office I asked for the manager a older guy showed up I started to explaining what was going on to the Manager he then turned his back to me and walked around the corner to get my package in the middle of me explaining what was going on,I stopped speaking because this was extremely disrespectful he the hollered out I can still hear you ( my response was I'll wait until your back face to face while I Express my concern/problem with paying for a service of delivery for product and instead of being delivered I still have to pick it up)We had a couple word, where I did Express the problem is with him since he is the manager and just experiencing a lack of concern in any way to fix the problem and if this is the way he acts it flows down hill to his employees not caring. He did call me back 2 days later just to say he checked with his supervisors above him/corporate and they are not responsible to bring packages on my property if the have to open a gate and that I should build something at the street to put my packages in. I will see if I can exclude them as a shipper when we order our supply's from this point on.He clearly doesn't give a sh_t about his job and customer service at this point in his career and seems content on doing the least he and his team can. If I owned or managed this company he would without a doubt be gone he is toxic to the company and his so called team."
"Zero Stars if I could. By far the most incompetent rude people to deal with. We have a PO box with them and they constantly are either forgetting are just flat out lazy and have not placed our mail in our PO box we are constantly having to go to the counter and ask for mail where we get nothing but attitude from everyone of the employees behind the counter. Like its a burden for them to walk 10 feet to retrieve the mail that they should have put in our PO box from the start. Ignorant, Slow and Lazy are the words that come to mind when describing them."
