Culper Precision

"This review is after a couple years of carrying a glock 19 machined by Culper Precision. The machining is very clean and precise. The cerakote started to wear pretty quickly. My main issue was with communication. I dropped my pistol off at the beginning of March in 2020, and got it back at the end of July 2020. I basically had to harass the company to get any reports of progress. I understood it taking a while to get parts, especially at the beginning of the pandemic, but the lack of communication was infuriating. I would call and leave messages and email, but getting answers was hit or miss at best, and it seems like that hasn't improved over the last 4 years. The package I bought also included an optic, which they apparently weren't able to procure in the 4+ months they had my pistol. I had them ship the pistol back with the machining done, minus the optic, and went and ordered the optic I wanted the next week, and had it mounted the week after that. As stated, this review is about 4 years old, so if there were any issues with the pistol, I would have seen them by now, especially with how many rounds I've put through the pistol. Like I said, the machining was great, but the cerakote started to show significant wear after about 3 months of training twice a month, with lots of draws and re-holsters from concealment. The biggest gripe was with the lack of communication, and difficulty with getting in touch with anyone."

"My experience with Culper Precision was excellent. I placed an order for a fast track optic slide cut. Dropped off the slide and then found out they had the optic that I wanted. They added the optic to my order and gave me a lead time of two weeks. The work was completed ahead of schedule and they called me promptly to let me know. I picked up the slide and the craftsmanship is amazing. Quality work, from this shop."

"I have tried to reach out to your company multiple times with absolutely ZERO feedback from your crew. I don't expect lead times to stay concrete, but that's where it comes to customer service on your end. I may get a good product in the end and I'm hopeful for that but I did my part as a paying customer. I would be a little more understanding if you would at least show some professional courtesy and push a few buttons on a keyboard and let me know how my order is going."

"Overall I am very satisfied with the end product, I needed my training weapon optic milled to catch up to reflect modern duty pistols and I am satisfied with the work, however I am very dissatisfied with the lack of transparency through the process of getting this done, it was impossible to reach anyone at Culper consistently and when sending off a personal firearm this is a little unnerving considering the investment that a lot of these pistols represent. I would recommend these services however the lack of communication makes me hesitant. If I had to give a recommendation It would be to give more consistent updates on the process as it happens"

"Their work is absolutely beautiful! Amazing quality and not a single flaw. Only reason for 4 stars instead of 5 is communication was not wonderful. They do reach back out to you but not necessarily in a fast manner. Also the wait times are pretty long. Kinda nic picking here but was told a certain timeline and it ended up being quite a bit longer. I will say I was getting impatient with them but the wait was worth it. The work is amazing and they always worked with me and through in some free patches. WOULD AND WILL BE USING THEM AGAIN IN THE FUTURE."
