"For a relatively small market, the selection here is outstanding. I’ve been very pleased with the knowledge of the employees, and the prices are very reasonable."
"Has an under average selection of polynesian foods like canned corn beef from the south pacific, some kumala, tarot, yet more Asian grocery supplies than poly stuff, FYI. For better poly food selection go to Lindon Leilanis Polynesian Place and if in Salt Lake go to Pacific Seas on Redwood or the other poly store on 1300 S State."
"I may be a bit biased cause I've always loved the feel of Asian stores, but I adore this tiny little shop. They've got an insane amount and variety of products for such a small place and they're great at keeping it easy to shop in. The only real problem is that there's almost no space for a check-out line, but it's never really busy so it doesn't come up very often. Unless you're looking for a specific brand they couldn't squeeze on the shelf, they've got everything you could need to make delicious Asian food at home. They know their audience, because their whole back wall is ramen. They've got all The Good Stuff (aka, not cup ramen), and I recommend grabbing an assortment and seeing what you like best. They're cheap so you can very easily spice up your meals without changing the price of them. They've also got ice cream and sodas chilling in the front if you just want a quick and unique treat. I highly recommend the little steamed buns at checkout if they have them, they're delicious and I like to get some whenever I go. ONE WARNING: The parking lot is a bit hard to get to. I recommend turning onto it from Center Street, just make sure that if you're turning left that you're in the right turn lane: you won't have time to change lanes before the parking lot. It's not usually a big deal, but it's just good advice to follow."
"I love this place. There are so many great varieties of Asian and Indian food stock. The wide assortment of spices, fresh veggies, and frozen goods. So many items you wont find in your typical grocery store. They really know how to use every square inch of their space!"
"Been here a few times already, it’s just a tad further than I’d like it to be. The store itself is pretty packed with food from aisle to aisle, and aisles are pretty narrow to begin with so if there’s two of you in passing in one aisle, one, has to back out or else they would be invading your intimate space. However, this store has tons of variety of food from Chinese, Filipino, Indian, Thai, and Korean too. I’m pretty happy with what you can get here, especially having it be in Utah County (which lacks Asian grocery stores). I did come here last week and stocked up on snacks, Asian sauces, and other necessities. I did notice though, after I got home, that one of the items I purchased (ground chicharon = grinded up pork rinds) had the “sell by” date of May 2020 - say WHAT?! I was just there last week to buy this (November 2020). This item has been on the shelf for 6 months passed the “sell by” date. I’m assuming the “sell by” date of May 2020, means that maybe a week or two, it will then be no longer “fresh” to eat, therefore, why is it still on the shelf for purchase? In addition, I asked a young employee there to see if they carried it, and he said no. Two minutes later, I found it myself. Huh. So....this leads me to believe that: 1. The employees are not fully aware of what they carry and sell. 2. They don’t frequently check shelves and expiration dates of items they are selling. It’s great and all that this Asian grocery store exists in Utah county, but I think it needs improvement on the management side. Again, this store is not super close to home, so this is a money loss for me since I’m choosing to not drive 18+ miles one way to exchange/return this item (I bought 2 bags of it). If they kept their shelves up to date, this wouldn’t have been an issue."
