"Great instructors and solid advice for buying gear. They are my go to spot for everything paragliding. Awesome for repairs and inspections also."
"The customer service is amazing! I live in a place where there are no dealers and as a new paraglider have many questions about new gear. They answered them all and I now have a shiny new harness on the way. Hadn't even finished reading the user manual before getting a UPS tracking number! will be back for the rest of my gear."
"I was impressed. It was great fun. I learned a lot in my ten days here -- both about staying safe in this sport as well as the techniques required to launch, fly and spot land. Even though during my training I flew many times from the fabled Point of the Mountain, this school emphasized ground handling skills as the basis of becoming a good pilot. The instructors were all professionals who each shared a passion for the joy of free-flight. My expectations were exceeded and I could not stop smiling as I drove back to my home in Austin, Texas. Thank you, Cloud 9."
"While down at Point of The Mountain we had great instruction that was given to both my wife and I from Kevin and Steve; they are both on top of their profession in terms of flying and teaching. My wife and I both had very different learning stylers, and they were quickly able to identify that and adjust their teaching to best suit us as individuals. Being a teacher myself, I took this for granted until I came home and started flying at my local site. I have quickly come to realize how all encompassing our instruction was. Being a novice pilot at best, I was surprised to be able to recognize many errors some of the other pilots were making, and even more shocked when I was able to give suggestions on launching techniques that were happily received. I even watched a guy try to repack his reserve into another harness, and only one other guy knew how to do it. I thought that this was just standard instruction; I guess not. For a sport that has the potential for dangerous situations, I am glad that our two instructors were not only great flyers, but teachers, meteorologists, and understanding individuals that truly want all of their students to be as safe as possible. I will go back to Cloud 9 again for future instruction, and I urge anyone that is serious about paragliding to go there as well."
"I learned from Cloud 9 and had a wonderful experience! Yes there are a lot of students that use Cloud 9, but they also have the most instructors on the hill. My instructor was Kevin, and he was voted best instructor of the year in a national magazine. Yes the gliders that they will put you on for the very first time will be older, but they are inspected every single year and are safe. As soon as your skills progress and they send you off of the top of the hill, they will put you on an excellent glider. By this time you are hooked and you end up buying all of your own gear anyways. I don't know who told you that it would cost $7000. I only spent $5000, and that included lessons for a month. Glider, harness, reserve, stuff sack and a bunch of other stuff. If you are truly on a budget they can help you out with buying used gear. Eventually you will want new gear anyways, so why go used? I bet that your father never taught you how to drive a Ferrari as your first car, but that Honda was just as safe, and better suited to the skills you were trying to learn. I tell all of my friends to use Cloud 9."
