"Wonderful first-time safe buying experience from SCI! After an exhaustive cross-country search for just the right safe, I had the pleasure of speaking with Dee at SCI, who helped me not only find the perfect Fort Knox safe AND in the color & size I wanted, but even offered to hold it while I got the funds arranged. Being out-of-state and a first time caller, I was quite grateful of this gesture. Additionally, since I was out of state and over an 11-hour drive from their store location, I was concerned about the shipping process, but that too went quite well. While I managed to purchase the safe and arrange shipping right at the same time of a freak ice storm in OK, plus a nationwide trucker protest going on, we naturally had some delays beyond their control, but we were eventually successful in getting the safe picked up and transported to my location. I noticed another recent review (*cough* Joe *cough*) mentioned the increasing price of having to pay to get a safe moved, but all I can say is after locally paying a moving company $400 and watching 3 grown men struggle to get this 1600 lb. safe into my location for over an hour, I cannot imagine that moving a safe should be "cheap". Its big, heavy and hard work, so a job done right without lifting a finger yourself should rightfully cost a fair amount. Save your back and hire the pro's for that part! A well-built safe should be incredibly hard to move, as it's weight goes hand in hand with the amount of steel and quality of construction. Remember, you are buying time when you buy a quality safe. Pair that with excellent home or business security, cameras and additional redundancies and you have yourself an impenetrable vault. My only regret throughout this whole process is that I never got a chance to check out the store in person. Maybe we'll save that for a future road trip.
