"The first gun I ever bought is my Yugo SKS that started to display issues within the year or so after I bought it. I’d get through a clip or two at the range and next thing I know it’s locked up with the firing pin blown clear out the back of the bolt. As a novice to firearms at the time, I put the gun away for a while and ultimately was getting to the point where I was thinking of selling it. Then I stumbled upon Murray’s when googling the issue and, lo and behold, everything on his website regarding popped primers matched what I was experiencing to a T. Sent my rifle out, and after 2-3 months (which I find to be a perfectly reasonable turnaround for a small shop with a specialization like this, no one else to my knowledge is doing what he does with the SKS) I have a rifle back in my hands that runs like a top. So far, 100 rounds down range with not a single malfunction where before, that firing pin would’ve dislodged within the first 20. This is an example of a place where you may need to wait a little but patience is definitely worth it. Ben puts out quality work at an affordable price point. Kept me up to date on any return shipping updates and called within 20 minutes of the tracking showing delivered to make sure everything showed up alright. If you need SKS work done this is the place as far as I’m concerned."
"Wow! Very shocked to not see someone else complain about Bens attitude and unprofessionalism! Called left a message, he called back at HIS convenience. I discussed my SKS issue as briefly as I could while giving him enough information to help me know what best to do. He referred me to his website, which is how I found him to begin with. Already viewed the videos. Did not know about the forms at the bottom of his page. So when I asked about shipping and pricing details he became noticeably irritated and referred me to the website again saying I was taking up too much of his time! I apologized for bothering him. Maybe I caught him on a bad day? Either way, not professional, and if I can find another way to get my SKS issues resolved, I will not spend my money here! And Ben...maybe you need to take a day off! From one business owner to another, if I get cranky and take it out on my employees or customers, it's time to take a breather! Good luck to you "partner"!"
"Had an issue and questions about a replacement firing pin for my SKS. They took the time to not only help me get the right pin and springs. But if I had the info for the previous owner they would have warrantied the old Murrays pin i had in my SKS. I couldnt believe it. They also took the time to help explain an issue I was having and how they could fix it for me if I wanted them to. Unparalled customer service and they stand behind their products. BUY FROM THEM!"
"My bank declined the first purchase so I purchased again, ended up being charged twice and didn't notice. They called me to clarify if it was a duplicate order or not. This is by far some of the best customer service that I have ever had the pleasure of dealing with. And not to mention the very niche firing pin I needed works perfectly and is exactly what I needed."
"I sent Ben a special project: To reverse engineer a firing pin for a discontinued firearm. Ben blew it out of the park. He created an exact clone, which is probably more durable than the original. I could have not asked for more from him. Absolutely amazing craftsmanship. He was only able to make one for me at this time due to Covid-19 limiting supply availability, but once this pandemic passes I'll be ordering a few more. I highly recommend his business."
