"I think overall I have to be honest and say that I did not have a great experience. I felt like they kept changing the diagnosis as they tried to fix my car and the cost of 169 per hour. I thought it was excessive just for diagnostics. Also, I was very disappointed that they tried to sell me a new suspension system, new brakes, and, I can’t remember what else because oil had leaked over them from repairing the engine. This is really really stupid. 2 other mechanics confirmed this. I would not recommend anybody to these guys and they probably won’t honor my warranty now that I’ve complained about them. I would not recommend this company to anyone! Plus my check engine light is still on and I have no idea what was repaired and why it’s still on? I’d like to take it back to them because I have some kind of a warranty but I’m afraid they’ll start charging me $169 an hour just to look into it. Steer clear these guys."
"I really wanted to like this place but I definitely won’t be doing business with them ever again. The service writers don’t do a good job of managing expectations and they really struggle to communicate effectively. It’s frustrating to pay a diagnostic fee and not have that count towards the cost of the repair. It’s frustrating being told that they will call to get authorization for the diagnostic and they never do. It’s frustrating asking for a timeline and not being given one. I just can’t support a business that lacks effective communication and basic time management when it comes to one of the most expensive assets I own. Edit: I normally don’t post reviews or edits for that matter but for this business I am making an exception because the response is simply not accurate. I was told when I called days before to make an appointment that it would take the day to do the repair so that part is true. However everything after that is completely false. The reason the technician didn’t have answers when I called is because he hadn’t even started the diagnostic after having my car since the day before. I was told I would get a call first thing in the morning to get authorization to perform the diagnostic and that never happened. After 5 hours I called the shop and I was told that the diagnostic would likely roll into Monday. Since it was Thursday I chose to pick up my car and take my business elsewhere because I saw zero justification for a diagnostic on a simple brake job taking 3 days. Writing that I told you to stop working on the car certainly makes it sound like I was the problem and your poor service wasn’t but it absolutely isn’t the truth. You never worked on the car period. The service writer was nice enough to let me know when I said I would take my car elsewhere however that I clearly don’t understand the way things work and he let me know that any other place I go I will be treated the same. As someone who has been a service writer at a bigger shop I know that simply isn’t the case and wasn’t impressed because it felt like his attitude towards me had everything to do with the fact that I was a woman. Car repairs are obviously far beyond the level of understanding of a simple minded woman. Bottom line is this situation could have been remedied by a simple phone call and instead they chose to minimize their bad service and wrote a response trying to make it seem like I wasn’t being honest about the situation. Like I said before I wanted to like this place but their service is poor and their leadership clearly is too. I promise that there are places that are going to communicate better and provide better service. I’m all for supporting independent shops. I’m just not in support of this one."
"Recently picked up a new car and went in for a tune and new exhaust. Prices were fair, they didn’t up-charge for any parts. I did go in expecting to get a ECU and TCU tune but was only able to get the ECU because my car has a newer gearbox. Alex’s Autohaus was communicative and tried their best to get me exactly what I wanted. After parts arrived the install was very quick. Thanks guys!"
"I contacted Sean. My daughter’s car needed front in repair on her Audi Q5. After Audi examined the car, I had Sean look it over. He agreed on the initial diagnosis from Audi but it was just a bandage. He recommended a complete solution and was less expensive than the Audi partial repair. I explained I was in Texas but wanted to get my daughter safe. They we fantastic! Definitely took care of her so she would be safe driving . They are our #1 repair shop to go to. They take care of the customer . Thank you!"
"Took my vehicle over to get rear brakes done. Brakes ended up not needing a change. Faulty brake sensor. They replaced it for me, and also suggested other services per their inspection. Ended up getting a brake system flush as well. Chris got me in and Derek helped answer questions I had about my vehicle.. I will definitely be going back to AlexAutoHaus for future service to my vehicle. I felt very comfortable with them and trust they had my best interest as well their pricing was very competitive and a lot better than the dealership. Thank you guys for your help. I’ll see you soon!"
