"I had a transmission shipped to their shop. They were awesome to deal with. Leading up to the install I had life problems happen and had to delay getting the car in to get their shop. "I had some work done elsewhere on my 2012 Caprice 6.0L V8. That place no longer exists, Shelbykiller destroyed so many high end muscle cars through incompetence they were sued out of existence right after working on my car-oops. Three months after sk finished rebuilding my engine my car had some issues- the transmission was slipping and the engine was making strange noise. SO I CONTACTED AUTOMOTIVE MD AND EXPLAINED MY SITUATION WITH MY DECOMMISSIONED NJ COP CAR. In spite of being very busy, the proprietor at Automotive MD took the time to reassure me that although my car is unusual they can handle any work it might need. Not only that- They were actually working on one, at the time, and everyone with a Caprice PPV in the area trusts Automotive MD with their cars. Automotive MD made me feel like they were capable, and confident they can repair it. They explained their fee structure, and put me at ease. I had it towed & dropped it off there on Monday April 3rd. They called back within hours with a diagnosis. They said the transmission just needed to be flushed and tuned, AND The engine issue was because when the previous garage did the DoD delete etc, they had left the old parts in the engine & they were incompatible with the new lifters. It's like the previous repair shop never bothered to finish their work. If the transmission had not slipped I'd have been driving it, and those old parts could have entirely blown up the rebuilt engine!!! I'm feeling very blessed that the transmission slipped. From late October until April I have not driven it. If I had I'd probably have needed a whole new engine. I'm glad I took it to Automotive MD. Only 17,000 of these cars were imported into America for use in police fleets, and yet Automotive MD knew exactly what to do. In fact, they had just finished working on a 2014 Chevrolet Holden Caprice Police Pursuit Vehicle which was sitting outside their shop when my 2012 was dropped off. 【NICE】 【NOW IT IS 1 month later SO I am completing my review.】 Automotive MD took good care of my car. They retuned the transmission and flushed and filled it. They removed the old engine parts and put the correct parts in. I have now been driving it for a month since the repair and this car runs better than it had since I bought it! It shifts smoothly and the acceleration is phenomenal. The gas mileage has improved and there are no longer any strange noises. There are a few more things I need to have done and I totally trust AUTOMOTIVE MD to do that work right too!
