"By far the absolute worst person I have ever tried to work with. Said he would take me on as a client and he would reach out to me but yet never made any effort to do so. And he would not allow me to make a appointment until he talked with me, but never got a phone call after 2 1/2 months of being patient, my time was not of any value to doctor Yokell… Even though the appointment I was looking for is time sensitive and he had all the documents he needed as he should know from his training. Then proceed to tell my doctor that I was not going to be able to be taken on as a patient once I told the front desk that I needed just a simple call from him in 24 to 48 hours to let me know what’s going on. The front desk ladies where always nice and wanted to help but where not allowed to do anything not even make appointments, or ask him any questions they are not allowed to do anything but answer the phone and leave him a note saying to call me but yet he would not find a single minute to give me any information on any matter. Very very poor person and poor business. I hope this will help anyone that needs professional help to find a different option because you will be just a name on peace of paper to doctor Yokell."

"I have a huge sense of comfort knowing that Dr. Yokell is on my health care team. As someone who thinks about health holistically, I was amazed to find a psychiatrist who also does. And as someone who has had negative experiences in the past with psychiatrists who are eager to simply prescribe a pharmaceutical--and so spend very little time learning about your life and particular stressors--it was a huge surprise to have a whole 1-2 hours dedicated to the initial appointments. Now that I am out of a serious episode of depression/anxiety (during pregnancy), my appointments are about 30 minutes each. Dr. Yokell's attentive listening and thoroughness in getting a multi-dimensional picture of how I'm doing have been consistent throughout. Some patients might not care about a physician caring about them; I definitely do, and I sense that from Dr. Yokell. I can tell he's rooting for me and that he will do whatever he can to be available, should I need him. He works with all my other health (both mental and physical) care providers to ensure were doing what best for me. Again, there is just such a thoroughness to it all that I feel strongly supported. It has brought tears of gratitude to my eyes on multiple occasions. Michelle (staff) is so friendly and easy to work with. I'm a fan!"

"My boyfriend was extremely sick, incorrectly diagnosed with ADHD and a depressive issue. We went to Dr Yokell for help and he gave us so much time and attention... Yokell asks "what else" and ALL the questions. He wants details, details, details. His military background offers a refreshing conservativism that paired well with our very liberal therapist! 3 months is all it took for Yokell to get my man off the wrong medicine and onto some of the right pills. The wrong meds had made him extra sick mentally. Turns out what he had been suffering with for so long was a Bipolar disorder. Time will tell us what kind. Yokell was very very careful with his diagnosis and worked with our medical history, family tree, and concerns to be completely sure of what we had been dealing with all this time.
