"I won’t lie when initially looking at this taekwondo school I was skeptical. I did taekwondo growing up so I have a good working knowledge with teaching it and how things are suppose to work. I took my 4 year old daughter for a few trial classes and I was extremely impressed with how good the instructor is. We had gotten there a bit early so I was able to Watch him teach older students, where he was stricter and had a higher expectation for their stances and forms; then being able to change his teaching style for the younger kids by being more energetic and understanding of them. This is very impressive. He has taken a lot of concepts and made them easier for the kids to understand and to the kids it’s really fun. My daughter was very shy at first and now she loves going and has learned a lot about listening and working hard. I personally like how he is mentoring his younger black belts by having them assist him with the kids so the kids usually have a 2:1 ratio with instructors and it really shows with just how fast the kids learn the moves and advance through his school. I also want to point out that this school not only promotes good school habits by providing positive reinforcement with school achievements but also at home achievements for the younger students. (Doing chores and picking up after themselves) I highly suggest checking this school out, I wanted my daughter to learn more disciple and focus much like I needed back when I was her age and older. This school is definitely one that will be able to help and boost their confidence."
"Master Hong’s program is really well done. He has such a great demeanor with the kids and adults alike. He really understands the individual skill levels and provides lots of hands on coaching and motivation. Family Taekwondo isn’t just a physical class, but mental and behavioral. There are expectations for the improvement of all the students. The classes are challenging but the students seem to have lots of fun. And it’s great exercise. Come for a couple of free classes and start the journey to skill, confidence and discipline."
